If i did not buy the Envy6 a couple weeks ago, this would have been a great deal.

Any experience with buying from ITSpot. Their review makes me think thrice.. http://www.productreview.com.au/p/itspot-com-au.html . any suggestions?

    Lets make it 699 - :)

We will call the people who have purchased already off this deal and refund the difference.

  • We will also throw in a free DIR-412 Router to anyone who leaves comment - "FREE ROUTER" on their order.

    xoxoxo ITS

instead of free router, how about free delivery?

  • Almost tempted to buy the notebook but I think I'd rather save my money and purchase a higher resolution screen laptop and/or better graphics card.

But that's not to say that this laptop is a decent laptop for the price.
It is not bad, not bad at all!

Yep, that 1366 x 768 WXGA kills it every time.

I don't understand why manufacturers keep churning them out, when you can get full 1080p screen parts for $20 more. What happened to 1680x1050, 1600x900, or even 1440x900? It's especially ludicrous on 15"+ machines with 2GB discrete graphics and i7 CPUs.

      • Yep, I won't even buy 1366x768 on a netbook, let alone a 15"+

They really need to stop producing those panels, that a pain in the arse it is.

  • +2

Why is it that every time someone posts a laptop, they always leave out the screen resolution?

    It's a craptasic 1366x768 in case you're wondering.

  • We used to sell the FHD Model - but it was 300-500 more. You can buy a nice LCD for that and use it on the side right :)

These are quite a nice, attractive unit, a few of our guys have bought them - the price doesn't reflect the quality of the machine really. Its way below cost to clear stock….

  • Not bagging the deal which is an excellent deal for the overall specs.

    BUT

If HP has not fixed their overheating problems for this model, then I doubt the Laptop will survive 2-3 years max.

Just try googling "HP ENVY DV6 overheating" and you'll know what I mean.
