Just a heads up we do have stock, we were just running a site backup when this was posted :/

Should be all up and running in the next few minutes!

    • How long will the deal run for?

      • +1

Technically it ended last night but the codes will work until midnight.

If we are feeling especially friendly we may extend just this offer with a new code tomorrow. But depends on how many we have left tonight…

    • I wish it was updated yesterday otherwise I would of bought from you guys. :(

  • darn, I just bought this last wed at JB for $1250

    • Does your credit card have price protection insurance? (Assuming you paid using a credit card.)

      • It would only protect against price drops at the store he purchased from though. It might be a challenge getting JB to issue a quote for $1142.

        • I agree. It was a challenge just to get the price match! I had to ask the sales staff to speak to the manager as she wouldn't do it.

  • Out of interest, I have a Vaio Z (specced here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/736690-REG/Sony_VPCZ13…) which I bought in 2010 when I was in the United States for around $1.7-1.8k. What is the speed difference between a 2.53GHz Intel Core i5-460M and the i5-4200U which is listed here?

      From passmark benchmarks:

      i5-460M: 2396
      i5-4200U: 3338

      • And a ton more battery life, and better casual gaming.

  • I've been umm'ing and ahh'ing over the Pro 11 for ages. This price did it for me.. just ordered one.

How accurate are the delivery timeframes? I'm wondering if I'll receive it by this Friday.

    • I've seen a slightly better deal, $1220 with a $100 stm bag for free.

But this is the best at the moment.

  • Nice deal, and I was definitely tempted, but after reading the reviews the Sony Vaio Pros are not for me. Kinda wish they were, though :/

    • How is an 870g ultrabook with an awesome quality display not for you? =)

      • great laptop except the touch screen is hard to use becos it is TOOOOOO light~ :D
i wish they trim extra 100Grams off and release a non-touch version in the next generation!

      • The major wifi issues that everyone seems to be complaining about were a killer for me.

        • Strange, I've never experienced any wifi issues.

People will usually only post when they have problems, so when someone browses a forum they'll often hear more problems than praises - unless it's a religious-type thing like certain brands of laptops.

There's probably heaps of people who don't have problems, they just don't post "Hi everyone, my laptop is working fine" on forums. :)
