So at the bottom the "Deals" page is the Sony Xperia Go + Action Cam Plan, but under that there was a "Buy Outright" button for $240 which adds the "Sony Xperia Go Bundle" to your cart. (If you hover your mouse over the picture of the phone and cam in your cart the "Sony Xperia Go Bundle" shows).

So to be sure i asked the live chat person to check. This is part of our conversation:
Optus : Can you please give me the link of that page.
You: https:wwww.optus.com.au/shop/Deals
You: the very bottom left is the Sony Xperia Go + Action Cam plan.
Optus : Yes, I am checking on this.
You: It says below the 'buy now' button "or pay $240 and get the phone outright with a 'buy outright' button

You: I've added to my cart. It has a picture of the phone and cam and when you hover over the picture in the cart it says it a ''Sony Xperia Go Bundle"
Optus : I saw that option
Optus : You can proceed with the order.
Optus : I'll help you getting this outright bundle.
Optus : Are you on Shopping cart?
You: So it includes the Sony Action Cam
You:???
Optus : Yes, it has both Sony Xperia go handset + action cam

    HTC One SV is cheap too $240, cheapest I can find on StaticIce is Kogan $289 and that's probably not even Australian stock!

    The person I spoke to also confirmed you get both for $240 outright - they couldn't confirm if it was the HDRAS15S (cheaper model RRP $249) or HDRAS15K (RRP $329) as per your link to The Good Guys

          Ok, so it's the more basic option with just the camera and case - so it is NOT comparable to the Good Guys HDRAS15K kit (with 2 batteries, additional mounts, etc) in the link at $289, but it is a good deal nonetheless.

          BTW the model number they quoted is NOT the Australian Model number - Sony USA uses that model number but here it's known at HDRAS15S (S for "Starter" kit) according the website as per above

          EDIT:
          After a little more research, it seems the CURRENT lowest spec model in Australia has extra mounts (1 x Flat, 1 x Curved) compared to the HDRAS15/B and as per above is known as the HDRAS15S.

          The HDRAS15 (which probably has the "/B" added in the US model for "black") is now listed as discontinued and lacks the mounts but is otherwise identical. It's discontinued status probably explains inclusion in this deal :-)

          Sorry I didn't go into to much detail about the cam. Just googled it and put the first link in the description. Spent too much time putting together the deal already. Hope it works out for all the buyers

          But maybe for the sake of clarity you should update the link because, based on the feedback from the rep who spoke to samlor above, the Good Guys product is a higher spec kit and linking to it might give people false expectations.

          Based on the rep conversation with samlor, this is the likely model;

          And if you want an IN-STOCK link this (which is actually a higher spec kit with additional mounts) is probably a closer match to what people will get and retails for $217;

    Great find OP! I ordered two! Plan to give one phone and one cam as gift.

    Live chat told me it will be HDRAS30 although I doubt that. I am more or less expecting HDRAS15. Still very happy with this.

    The cheapest price I can find this sony action cam for on static ice is $217. So if I sell the phone on ebay for $150 that means I'm getting the action cam for $90 making it a saving of $127. THANKS OP!

    Mine arrived today. The phone looks very sleek and is unlocked (tested my Boost/Telstra SIM in it). Android 4.0.4 is preinstalled (along with some Optus crapware). I'm happy to part with the phone for $120, if anyone in the Ferntree Gully/Knoxfield area is interested in picking it up in the next day or so.
    I haven't really gone through the entire operation of the camera yet. It's a great price, but rather big for bicycle helmet use when it's in the waterproof case (it's a lot taller than a Contour cam, for example). The curved adhesive mount can go on top of a helmet, but I think I'll buy the ~$40 handlebar mount.

    I spoke to a rep on the Optus site today and he reckoned the Camera was the AS10. Bit concerned about buying the bundle and getting the lower model now :(

      If you read through the comments you'll notice we've been through it before. The reps probably don't have them on hand so are just guessing. None of us have received the AS10, we've all received the AS15.
