      Yes a Lenovo T420. It runs brilliantly Mountain Lion if you swap the internal Wifi card over, whitelist the BIOS and go from there.

      I got a T420 off Grays for ~$310 delivered, 1600x900 screen resolution, i5 2520M, 4Gb RAM and 320Gb Hard disk. I think this smacks this deal!

          Try GraysOnline - they often have them going, either iMacs or MacBooks. Grays tried to increase their buyers premium to 22% - it backfired, so its back to 15%, which needs to be factored in to the equation as well as shipping.

          Its a risk, but they usually carry 90/120 day warranties. Just be careful of the Grays one that they have the OSX installed - that didn't worry me as i'm in IT and can get all that sorted but if you are looking for a turnkey solution, you have to be mindful of it.

    My iMac (2008) died after 5 years. I love them (best screens around) but would never recommend buying one 4 years old.

      I would buy a this 4yr old anytime if it was, say $499.

      My 3yr old Macbook with C2D/8GB/256GB SSD still runs faster and last longer (3-4hr) than any PC that I have/had.

      HP N54 = $230 on sale
      32" Kogan HD LED = $330 normal price (wait for sale and its even cheaper)
      Awesome HTPC keyboard = $12 on sale $20 normally.

      Throw in a SSD if you want the operating system to be quicker and your still saving money.

    How ridiculous is this, a 4 years old computer at about 50% of its original price. My vehicle depreciates more than that. A PC equivalent would worth only $120 at best.

    Core 2 Duo. There is a big difference.

    It's a pretty good machine, speaking as an owner, but beginning to show its age, and the screen is pretty damn small for a desktop computer.

    People still pay good money for iMacs and anything Apple related. I also think they got the screen resolution wrong because the 21.5" screens were just short of 1920 x 1080. They look fine and if treated properly and age well aesthetically but how this is a deal to some I just don't know. As I type this it's sold out. Go figure.
