Pre-Order Nokia Lumia 1020 4G LTE $729 + Delivery @ Mobileciti

120

I think this is a pretty good price.
$833 and $848 @ HN and DS, RRP $899
if you are or were a Nokia fan, maybe get this one as a 'souvenir', probably the last phone from European Nokia…(also could be the phablet Lumia 1520, but i will go for this one for sure)
$729 is also resonable and cheap for such high-end camera and decent built phone.

Yellow, white and Black available, estimated despatch on 15/09/13.

EDIT: Price now back to $829

good price but looks like they out of stock already, unless that is what it showed before,i heard few other places are offering the case and wireless charging thing as a bonus with this phone too so might wait abit.

    • its not released in aus yet thats why its showing out of stock i guess.
a bonus is good but i wont bother to use wireless charging to be honest…
id rather sell it for $$$

      • I wish they made the wireless charging cover better with more coverage over the edges so that it can double as a protector case.

      • +1

That's what I thought until I started using it. I don't want to go back to cables…
Unless you meant cases, then yeah, fair point, cases suck :p

Sony Xperia Z1 got better camera than this…

  • Have we confirmation that the Sony Z1 has the better camera? From the samples so far I would say not but I have not seen any reviews in the last few days.

    • I've seen a few reviews and its as good at the least, if its better is up for debate i guess and im not a camera person, if you have not used a windows phone before and you really like your wide selection of Apps i would go the Sony … WP can end up being a headache if the equivalent app's your used to using aren't around.. :)

Also specification wise the Sony internals are all next gen (cpu etc) windows are all around the mid level mark in terms of android equivalent

"Again, this is a solid win for the Xperia Z1 over the Lumia 1020. Sony’s 20.7MP G Sensor camera clearly produces more natural night photos with a more accurate white balance and superior detail."

      • As the editor stated, I would take that review with a pinch of salt. Not sure why I am saying this though as I am a Sony fanboy :-)

      • If you refer to Gsmarena's source for the article, there are more photos http://www.tbreak.ae/features/camera-comparison-nokia-lumia-…
The reviewer suggests that the Lumia 1020 gives more details and zoom. Preliminary test on video appear to suggests that the 1020 seems better.

    • Based on specs alone, no OIS, smaller sensor, no xenon flash it sounds like it is going to be difficult to beat the Nokia 1020.
Nokia also oversampling on the 5mp setting and lossless zoom. I will be surprised if it can beat it, but look forward to see whether it can.
If adding the Z1 attachable lens DSC-QX10/QX100, it's likely the Z1 will win in some areas, but will that be a fair comparison?

  • Hasn't this phone already been discounted US$100 by Microsoft?

  • Back to normal price of $829.00

    • thanks for pointing out
