TIP - bargains in Crazy Clarks stores

140

Crazy Clarks stores are not closing down, they have been bought out by another company. I went into my local store [in WA] however and they are getting rid of a lot of stock at reduced but unadvertised [ie not in catalogues] prices. I would say at least 1/2 the store was manually reduced. Some good bargains at my local store included kids ride on trikes, new in box for $19.95 each and the kind of trikes that have a handle to push, also around that. Lots of the bigger kids toys were discounted, + home wares (had some cute kids quilt and sheet cover sets for $10) and everything else really.

I expect this will be at all stores, as the staff told me they are getting rid of all old stock as the new company are obviously starting "afresh".

So the tip is, check in at your local Crazy Clarks. It might be worth visiting other stores in the family but I'm not sure what's happening to them and if they're reduced.

Does this include The Warehouse? As they have the same owners, same product lines, and same prices.

    Thanks for the tip.

  • CRAZY CLARKS, GO-LO, SAM'S WAREHOUSE, THE WAREHOUSE, and CHICKENFEED TASMANIA has JUST been bought out by Ms. JAN CAMERON - the same lady who owns KATHMANDU CAMPING & LEISURE STORES Pty. Ltd:

She has told all stores to CLEAR ALL STOCK IMMEDIATELY.

She still owns KATHMANDU & NOOD FOODS NEW ZEALAND.

I thought that she sold Kathmandu. Also, I don't think that Go-lo have been told to clear all stock - one near me had a delivery of 5 pallets today.

"one near me had a delivery of 5 pallets today." …. of sale signs.

I know with CC that they are still having some deliveries - so that they can keep catalogues going etc. I think it's just the old stuff they're getting rid of, and it might even be stuff still warehoused which needs to be delivered to the store.

From the article you linked to:
"Since selling Kathmandu for a reported $275m in 2006…"

Reading - it's not just for kids.

By the way, a lot of people mistakenly think receivership is insolvency which is wrong.

I noticed the clearing of the shelves at a local CC a couple of weeks ago. The back 1/4 of the store was empty shelves and the middle 1/2 had lots of gaps on the shelves.
