  • This coupon does not have any limits on which day you can use.

That is a really good improvement on the previous coupon.

  • Canberra only?

  • says its valid all over australia.

  • I believe the 2-4-1 is valid australia wide.

but the other voucher below the 2-4-1 voucher (footer) is specific your district.

Mine had 20% discount for take-aways (CODE: valley20) at the Fortitude Valley, QLD store. (valid till 30/9/13)

    • It says on the voucher "valid at wagamama australia restaurants only"!

In plain english that means Australia wide

      • +1

        yes i know.

i am talking abt the additional offers that on the bottom 1/4 of the page.

  • If you go to their website/facebook, you can get the 2-4-1 voucher :)

Even for 4:1 I would not go considering how bad the food is there.

    • really now, you're voting on the deal, not on your personal opinion on how the food tastes

Went to the Canberra one a while ago…took them forever to take our orders then another eternity for the food to be served. It was on a Tuesday too no Friday filled to the brim nonsense either. The food tasted like 1:100 diluted miso and my so called udon ended being ramen. Their udon IS ramen and I was dumbfounded when I double checked the menu.

The karaage chicken is almost like overfried teriyaki chicken with none of the usual karage chicken crust on the outside. Can't think of a worse restaurant other than Zambrero.

      On price alone, $20 for a ramen…really?

      • They also didn't have any cutlery available at their Chadstone branch one night and it did take a long time to get the attention of the waiter.

I still think the food is good though.

    • Same. Worst ramen I've ever had in Sydney, and that's saying something. Thank goodness I wasn't paying for that meal.

  • You couldn't pay me to eat there. I can't believe how busy the shop is at Chadstone. I don't know how they can even call this "Asian/Japanese" food. Just shows you how some people have no idea what they are putting in their mouths…so long as its 'trendy'…..

    • +3

      Yes….its 'fusion'.

Yes…..its not the best food in the city.

But it's far from crap and has a good atmosphere.

      2 4 1 is actually a decent deal….Around $10 for a Katsu Curry….can't complain right?

      • +1

Chadstone really is terrible tho. After eating there I was about to neg them on urbanspoon then saw they already at 30% and wished I had looked earlier haha.

        • im really stingy about japanese food since i worked in tokyo years back, wouldnt pay over 7bucks for a decent feed in tokyo. Don Don in the city has a good vibe too it and sure its not great but anything well under 10bucks is a winner.

I assume wagamama need to make their price a bit high to compensate for staff supplies and rental fees. but as the shop is called "selfish" they kinda have the right to raise the price

    • i like it, what do you consider to be good?

  • +2

2 for 1…or…free movie ticket if you spend $29 at Wagamama Chadstone (Melbourne) (cant be combined)

The only time worth eating at Wagaamama.

  • +4

Wagamama = restaurant prices for a food court experience. Personally, if I have to pay $20 or so for a dish, I don't want to have to sit next to or opposite a whole bunch of strangers to eat it.

Even at half price, you get better food and cheaper prices at most food courts.

still though, if you for some reason like their food, then this is good deal for you.

    • +5

having to sit next to someone to eat food, first world problem.

      • +1

True dat. But not as big a first world problem as having to pay AUD$20 for a rubbish meal.

Good coupon, terrible food. 'Nuff said.

  • So the free meal MUST be of lesser value?

  • crap food. used a 2 for 1 voucher probably about a year ago, which was my first experience with this place. The food wasn't even worth it at 50% off.

  • You get for what you pay for.

  • as said by others: awful overpriced fusion food & non-existent service.
imo if you're somewhere like sydney cbd where there are so many good, cheap jap restaurants, avoid wagamama like the plague.
