ORIGINAL POST
For some reason, Lenovo is offering a hefty $165 discount if you select the "Arctic Blue" display colour when configuring the E330. There are three base configurations on offer - this applies the the i3-3120M and i5-3230M models (the i3-3110M cannot be reconfigured).

After changing the screen to Arctic Blue, the standard coupons also apply. For the i3-3120M, you can use SEPWELC2013 coupon. For the i5-3230M, the E330DEAL coupon provides a slightly bigger discount on the base config, while SEPWELC2013 may be better if you add upgrades.

  • i was one of the first 50 or so upvotes and ordered pretty early too.

order status still says " your order is being verified".

also paypal and credit card showing payment pending. but no cancellation email yet.

    • If it's being verified, they will most likely be calling you up to confirm some details, keep your phone next to you!
Source: I ordered an E520 a while back.

      • I checked out as a guest and I don't think put my mobile, mine still saying being verified but I'm neither here nor there so happy to get product or refund

    • Even if payment was taken, they refund the money as it happened to me when part order was cancelled due to low stock once with Lenovo. But Good Luck and hang in there, you had good fun with the entire episode - totally free!

    Order Status: Order Processing.

  • My order (e330) was just updated and is now "released to manufacturing", looking good so far.

    • arctic blue base model (e330)?

      • Just checked my quantity two order of the base E330, arctic blue, only upgrade the 2x2 Intel a/b/g/n wireless (and Win7 instead of Win8 :-) ; they are showing as released to manufacturing. Fingers crossed. =:^)

      • Yes, except for the extra $7 or whatever it was for decent Wi-Fi.

  • +4

Your order has been cancelled as you requested.

Got cancellation email too and I didn't contact them yet….BIG LIAR LENOVO!

    • +10

Looks like customer number AU00000001 decided he didn't want to place all those orders…..

  • Did everyone get an email when their order went to released to manufacturing???

    • +5

Yes, I did. Order status still ’Released to Manufacturing', but just received a cancellation email said as my request, they cancelled the order.

It shows they cancelled the Earbuds & Shipping, but I think what they mean is the whole order has been cancelled. Poor lenovo, poor excuse. At least they owe us an apology.

  • +6

I ordered an E531 and only the earbuds got cancelled,

I'm not van Gogh… I want those earbuds!!!!

    • same that's what I got too

But they adjusted the order total as well, removed the headphones from the order ??? WTF

Qty Part no. Description Status* Price Total

      • Same here, I received the email advising that the ear buds and shipment has been cancelled however laptop is released for manufacturing.

I guess they mean the whole order has been cancelled.

Liars, I don't think they are gonna honour this deal!!

  • +4

You guys all know that if any one of us get their order shipped, all the other annoyed people will whinge with Lenovo. For that single reason, Lenovo will ensure all of the orders are cancelled. So quit refreshing this page :D

  • +1

shipping canceled but e531 released to manufacture
does it means we buy this notebook but they cant send it because the shipping was canceled?

  • Just got a cancellation email through, Only ear buds and free shipping cancelled.
Laptop (e531 with i5 upgrade) still had status of Released to Manufacturing.

  • I am in the same boat. I have received the cancelation email. Now just wondering when I can get my money back. @_@

  • -1

    E330 buyers > greedy headphone E531 buyers :P
    Smarter too?
btw I hope we all get our shiny new lappy's and Lenovo need a smack in the head for handling this so badly…

  • +3

I know everyone wants to hope, and hang onto the bargain. Heck I do too. But I don't hold much hope for my E531. Waiting for the email to arrive.

Don't flame me for just thinking but my theory is that the cancellation emails with earbuds and shipping cancelled actually mean the whole thing is cancelled.

Just a sign that their system is not geared up to handle them cancelling orders, hence the lack of an email where they state they are cancelling, and instead they send you one as if YOU had cancelled (which would be the normal occurrence).

    • I would say thats why shipping has been canceled as a priority.

  • +3

Haven't received anything, my Paypal transaction is still pending. I assume ill get a cancellation email tomorrow. Its a shame but oh well, better to have tried. Annoying that on one of the first pages one our OZ members contacted live chat and was told the deal was correct, he even posted a screen shot. This is why I bought as I felt that confirmed it was an authentic deal and not an error.

    Email from Lenovo

    "Dear xxx

Your order has been canceled as you requested"

    WTF. I didn't request anything!

  • +2

Received the second cancellation email moments ago. The first email was for an e531 base model order placed on Saturday. The second is for the upgraded e531 ordered placed on Sunday. I don't mind they cancel the order, as I don't really need one or two. But they lie to me/us, stating the order was canceled as I requested.

    • +1

It would be a standard email template…I wouldn't take it personally.

      • -1

i am not taking it personally, i am not saying i am taking it personally either.

        make ur point clear.

    • Were the actual laptops cancelled or just the earphones/shipping?

  • +1

    Cancelled as requested?

    Lame excuse Lameovo!

  • ouw cmon lenovo!!

        its called: KogaAmazoLenoed! lol

  • +3

I have just posted "Shame on Lenovo" comment on their facebook page. These people wasted so much of our time. If there was some error, they should have corrected in few hours. Not bloody 3 days. So come on guys, flood their facebook, twitter page with "Shame on Lenovo" notes and teach these morons a lesson.

  • Hopefully the cancellation of the free shipping and the earphones is just a way to make some money back on the orders that have already gone to manufacturing.

  • No cancellation email yet just wish they would get off their ass and tell us so I can order a MBA already!

Guys come and take a look. Here was a case of lenovo price error back in 2011.
At least they had someone from the rep stand out and explain.
Comparing with this time, I hope they can take their response for their mistakes,
cuz they owe us an apology.

    • "We were able to fulfill several hundred orders on a first come, first serve basis."
      did u order early?

  • received cancellation email moments ago…order was placed sat afternoon

  • +1

Does anyone else think that "cancelled" shipping would mean we won't be getting the laptop or the earbuds?

Lenovo will probably tell the manufacturer to cancel the orders.

Annoyed that i cancelled my E330 order this morning :(

  • +21

    Dear FreckleNuts,

    Thank you for your order.

Unfortunately your purchase was connected to a pricing error, and has subsequently been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience. We take such issues seriously and the matter has been placed in the hands of our technicians to reduce the chance of any recurrence.

As a token of our appreciation for your interest in our products you have been placed in the draw for double passes to ‘Believe Australia’ with Justin Bieber at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 26 November 2013. Please check your email periodically for the outcome of the draw which will take place on 28 September 2013.

    Warm Regards,

    Lenovo.

    • +15

LOL Justin Bieber, they are cruel

      • +3

        Token of appreciation???

more like a punishment ffs bieber

      • +3

Wtf, that's torture, as if the agonising wait werent enough. Lameovo , shameovo.

    • +10

no noise-cancelling earbuds, but you go in a draw for a Justin Bieber concert?

      • +5

Does Lenovo understand why the NOISE-cancelling earbuds are so popular these days?

    • LOL @ your username and "Beliebe Australia"

    • +8

Is that serious? I would tell them to keep my $336.60 just to get my name out of that draw!

      • +3

        Is that serious?

        I don't think so.
FN & his subversive crap is nothing new on OB.

    • +3

Rofl…. rubbing salt into the wound? Is second prize a twerking session with MC :)

    • +1

AHAHAHAHAHAHA Good luck with the draw :p

    • E531 or E330? Can the people who are receiving cancellations post which model they bought?

      • I only had one order for the E531.

    • Salt in wound!

    • Wow! you are so lucky…LOL

    • Talk about rubbing salt in our wounds, I mean bargains… sorry that was my parrot impression.

    • Good to see Lenovo has given you the chance to be a Belieber.

  • Justin Bieber concert?

    Torture continues at Lenovo

  • just received order cancellation email. shame on lenovo!!!!!

  • Please ban any future Lenovo deals on this forum.

They are so unprofessional! There isn't any compensation or even an apology from the No. 2 PC manufacturer in the world.

  • Following is extract of their terms and conditions and clearly they don't have any liability if they choose to cancel our orders.

If a Product or Service is quoted at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information:

    (a) Lenovo has the right to refuse or cancel any Orders placed for the Product or Service quoted at the incorrect price, even if Lenovo has confirmed the receipt of your Order and reserved an authorised amount on your credit card, or received your direct deposit;

    (b) if Lenovo has reserved an authorised amount on your credit card, or received your direct deposit but subsequently cancelled your Order, Lenovo will not process your credit card payment (full authorisation hold on your card will automatically expire after 7 days for Visa cards and MasterCards and 30 days for American Express cards), or will refund your direct deposit to your nominated bank account for the amount paid; and

    (c) Lenovo will attempt to notify you as soon as possible about the error and you will have the option of purchasing the Product or Service at the correct price.

    • +1

Thats all good. But they should just say that instead of saying the customer cancelled the order.

      • I agree - they should admit it was pricing error but the customers requested to cancel the orders.

    • But my terms and conditions clearly state that all sales are final.
If lenovo could not be bothered to read them before accepting my payment, that's their problem.

      • Neither yours or Lenovo T&Cs don't overwrite consumer laws. Your offer has not been officially accepted if your payment has not gone through yet.

  • Anyone get a cancellation for the E330? The E351 was an obvious error in that you upgrade to a FHD screen and get money off. But the E330 … ?

    • +3

30+ E351 cancels reported in this thread.
0 E330's so far. Fingers crossed they honour these.

  • Can I just say, they cancelled shipping first so no laptops were sent out (stop the bleeding). Then they would cancel manufacturing. Then put those already manufactured into storage for the next pawn who comes along buying at full price. VOTE REVOKED

  • cancelled email received as well was for the 531

    that apparently i requested.

  • +3

currently waiting in anticipation for my cancellation email

am really excited and cant wait to get lenovo'd !!

    lol

    • Me too. Ordered stock 531 at 11.25am last Saturday. No cancellation email yet. I don't really know why but tonight I just can't stop checking my email, high excitement

  • Is it me, or is the cancellation email only cancelled the earphones?

    • not just you.

  • +1

E330 hanging in there. Go you good thing!

  • +6

    Their new slogan…

    Have you been Lenovo'd ?

    • No, I ordered a E330. Happy as….

    • and Justin Beaver is the star of their new show "Lenovo'd"

      • What happens if everyone in the concert is sent by Lenovo because of this failed campaign?

    • mine's better…. Lameovo'd lol

  • I'm still waiting for the cancellation email, ordered Saturday about 11:30pm. Credit Card charged.

    • If your credit card has been charged, then you have a valid contract with them and they are required to fulfill their part…

      • The Terms and Conditions that I agreed to when I submitted my order had quite a long treatment about when Lenovo can be considered to have formed a contract with me to fulfill the order.

Not a lawyer, hence unsure how waterproof it is in a court, but it seems to give them a lot of discretion to review and cancel orders even after some authorization debit or other CC activity has happened.

        • Its well known that nobody reads T&Cs, and are therefore not capable of agreeing to them.
Furthermore, if the consumer has no power to negotiate the T&C, they are legally very dubious.
They could put "your firstborn child will belong to us for a payment of $100 " in there and nobody would notice.

        • +1

had quite a long treatment about when Lenovo can be considered to have formed a contract with me to fulfill the order.

I don't think Lenovo have the power to change the law regarding contracts…

        • I don't think Lenovo have the power to change the law regarding contracts…

Of course Lenovo cannot unilaterally change the law, but that's not what they're doing.

One of the contractual terms would be that Lenovo can cancel the order if they discover the purchase relates to a pricing error, whether or not the CC has been charged. This would be standard for purchases of this nature.

There are certain statutory rights that cannot be waived, but they are unlikely to be relevant here.

They could put "your firstborn child will belong to us for a payment of $100" in there and nobody would notice.

          Yes they would notice.
It would not have force given it's obvious breach of a raft of laws.

        • You hit the nail on the head, it was the pricing errors I was trying to remember from their T&C - much like the good old "E&OE" clause that I often used to see in catalogues.

Companies can be dealing in good faith and still make mistakes from time to time. Consumer protection law mostly kicks in when the mistakes start to look like outright negligence or acting to deceive.

As for the folks going on about contracts, unless there's some fraud going on then isn't it a civil matter, with costs and so on? It could easily turn into the most expensive cheap laptop ever…

  • This is what I have on my order status - http://ovp.lenovo.com/lenovo-ovp/public/showDetail!publicSta…

Thank you for your purchase from Lenovo.
Your order is currently being verified. Please check back for order status updates.
