Sweet deal, but leaves me wishing this to have an IPS screen.
It does have an IPS screen, according to http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Acer-Iconia-Tab-A510-Tab...
I agree there's conflicting info out there. Most sites state it's not IPS. What do you think the verdict is? Can anyone confirm these have a wide viewing angle without the colours washing out?
It's a MVA display.
Initially, I thought it was a little washed out but after the update, colors appeared better. Viewing angles are good.
It's not the greatest display but it's not at all bad.
Out of stock already!
thanks OP, don't need one but bought one anyway.
Oh noes! Acer ICONIA A510 Android Tablet 16GB WiFi is now out of stock. Please edit your order summary and remove it from your cart.
Well at least you saved $178, that can go towards your next s4 purchase from kogan lol
Out of stock..please update deal
Hmm, looks like it's back in stock, I just ordered one…
Maybe not, just checked again…I might've been lucky last, glad I checked before leaving for work! ;)
I have one brand new, unopened from the previous time this deal was posted that the person I bought it for doesn't want. If anyone wants to buy this off me, PM me (Sydney).
I'm interested but can't PM (new account). Please PM me.
Edit: Can collect from Sydney, no postage necessary.
They've got these back in stock this morning, just ordered one then.
I'm pretty happy with EBG, ordered 16th, in my hot little hands by 19th…I can't fault them, every order I've made with them has been delivered muy rápido!
Really liking this tab too, performance wise it's very snappy, viewing angles are great & battery life is awesome! :)
I got mine on the 20th, first thing I did was buy a 32gb sd and updated to android to jellybean, runs games easy and the battery is lasting 10+ hours easy
The upgrade path to jellybeans was a bit odd, having to do a manual download/restore to newer ICS first was a little convoluted, then it was an easy OTA to JB, so not too excruciating overall…but it could've been a bit more intuitive though, way to think it through Acer!
Now the waiting game for another sweet deal on a good 32 or 64gb MicroSD! ;)
I'm pretty unhappy with EBG, ordered 17th (it came back into stock), order confirmation immediately, nothing further since then. Called and emailed yesterday - they oversold the item and have effectively told me "unlucky, ask for a refund".
Damn, sorry to hear that dude…just playing devils advocate though, I considered myself lucky with an order on the 16th when others had already reported it OOS…just sayin'.
You did well, and thanks for the heads up about them popping back into stock - it's a good thing to keep in mind for future bargains!
