You can use their 'Click & Collect' service which is free of charge, if you have a DJ store nearby.
And if you place your order before 4pm, it will be ready for collection the following day.

Cheers thanks, just in time. Wife's Birthday coming up in a week.

    • You are buying her an iron on her birthday so she can help you to iron your clothes?

    • Oh yes. She will appreciate this.

      I was being sarcastic btw.

  • Probably won't want two, but so I should find something worth $22 to get the $15 off?

    • or go halves with @tsunamisurfer above who's also in perth :)

      • Lol I haven't changed my details yet - I've already moved to Sydney :( Nothing else seems good on the sale side. OzBargainer dillema - buy 2 just to get the better 'bargain' - lol

      • +2

        • +2

          2 mrs = 1 missus + 1 mistress :)

  • Added some baby toys and got the error at the final step:
Error:Sorry, an error has occurred while trying to retrieve the inventory status of this product.
Their system is not very advance…

  • Is this available in store?

    • Not sure you can use the discount code in store even the iron is also on sale in store for the same price.

      • +1

Only planning to get one iron. Don't mind paying $29 for it in store.

Woah…David Jones?! Would never have thought…

2200 watt? whatttt?!! in many Asian households this will consume the whole electricity for the house.

    • +1

Agree, but we're not in Asia.
Check your kettle, btw. And your electric heater if you have one. Not to mention your oven.

      • -1

don't have any of those:( poor me.

    • yes it heats up quick then shuts off the power, being as efficient as any other device that converts 100% of their energy input into heat. Although I would fully support not ironing my clothes to save the environment.

  • OUT OF STOCK :(

    • +2

Click & collect is still available at selected stores

  • So is this like a good iron or something?

    • +5

This is OzBargain. The only question is "is it substantially cheaper than it usually is?". If you have answered in the affirmative to this question, you must buy it irrespective of quality, need, or your bank account.

      • correct, buy first, then check what you ended up buying!

  • Any working promotion codes? Those 2 are not working.

Edit: The treatme5 worked. Ordered 2, thanks op!

  • And yeah, both the codes work just realised now.

They won't refund via paypal, only through their giftcard which really sucks. Ah well, missed out on saving $10.

    Good deal nevertheless.

    • Yes do, they do to your CC as an alternate!

    • if its faulty they have to refund

      it not up to them

  • Just picked one up from the Melbourne CBD store. From what I could see, they still had about 15+ in stock.

  • +2

http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/en/davidjones/men/career/r… is clearly the obvious choice to ramp it up to $50 online!

    (if stock becomes available)

  • Ended up getting http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/en/davidjones/sale/electri…

instead - no pickup available for the others. Hope it's worth the boost. Added some lego erases for $3.95 just to get it over 50 dollars to get the free delivery too.

  • People still iron these days?

    • not all people have a missus or wear non-iron/wrinkle-free clothes :)

  • whats the coupon code for 15$ off?

  • +1

Be careful with this one as after a successful PayPal order, I just got a call from David Jones Click and Collect department saying that my iron was out of stock. David Jones wants me to go into the office to pick up a David Jones store credit card as the refund.

    • +2

it's your right under the law to receive a refund in the same form of payment or similar - store credit is clearly unsatisfactory being limited in its use

I just called the store back and getting the better iron instead. Such a good ozbargain that I am not going complain as I can always use a DJs card. I recommend calling first on the click and collect and get them to actually put aside the item first.

  • Recommended Retail Price on the Philips .au website is $49.95. So DJ's normal selling price is $20 over RRP???? How does that work I wonder?

  • Looks like they are out of stock now.
