Ozito 2000W Heat Gun Kit $19.99 (Regular Price $34.97) Bunnings Broadmeadows VIC

Don't know how good/bad these are but thought it was worth sharing. It may or may not be available at other stores.

P.S. The Forearm Forklift seems like a good buy as well. Just watched this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6XvxnXFrog

  • For $20, it looks not bad, any in Brisbane?

  • A couple of times I needed a heat pistol to apply some vinyl trims to my car I used my wife's hairdryer but for that price I might get one(if available in NSW), thanks OP

    • +2

Believe it or not the hairdryer doesnt work as well as the heatgun (at least for heatshrink).

I think this is the heatgun I've got… it's a bit weird. It's like the hot-cold dial doesn't make any difference at all. But the airflow switch makes a huge difference: if it's full speed the air is HOT and if it's on slow then it's only warm. Entirely illogical that heat changes with the air speed switch and not the heat dial.

      • Maybe it's because my wife has a good hairdryer so the job was perfect, but i agree with you :)

        • moral of the story there is when your wife wants a good hairdryer - get her one?

        • +1 it would save me >$100 LOL

      • I have this heat gun and the hot and cold dial definitely works on mine

The air speed is normal to do that iirc

Take it back I think these have a 3 year warranty lol

  • For anyone looking in Sydney: Unfortunately the special is not available in Artarmon or Chatswood NSW stores.

  • Thanks for sharing OP
