  • I think you may want to redo the link cause I'm pretty sure I was looking at your shopping cart.

    • +3

Doubt it. The link is just www.bonds.com.au

    • +16

Either that or someone in your family thinks you need new underwear

    • +1

Websites sometimes mess up their caching and you'll end up seeing someone else's shopping cart. I'd say the problem is on Bonds end if the OP only linked to www.bonds.com.au

  • +12

Wish Bonds weren't so overpriced, I still think $10+ per trunk seems too expensive :/

    • +3

Yep bonds is overpriced and isn't even marketed as a luxury brand. You can get Ralph Lauren or Armani trunks from the US for $10/pair, less in a multi-pack.

    • Totally agree. Thats why i wait for their sales.

The only thing I buy from them are maternity singlets which are the best compared to say kmart and target brand and their cotton undies which last heaps longer than the cheaper brands.

Occassionally buy the odd piece of clothing here and there but meh only if its ozbargain cheap lol

      • +2

meh. even their sales is pathetic. considering they moved their entire factory overseas, they still expect to charge the same price, they must be dreaming.

i rather buy other brands like CKs instead, since they are manufactured from the same place.

  • +6

How does this compare to say Target's normal pricing?

    • Bought a t shirt for $10 the other day at Big W.

I'm not sure what the product name is, but the t shirt that looks similar on the website is about $11 to $15 (after 40% off discount). I'd just treat the extra $1-4 as shipping.

    Thanks for sharing OP

  • Cheers OP

40% off via their website is still more expensive than when I see their stuff on special at Big W or Best and Less.

    • i thought bigw and best and less sell lower quality stuff?

      • I think he meant buying bonds branded product in those shops.

  • Can't stand buying made in China products that are only slightly lower than Aust made products, and retailers then ask why we don't support them…

    • It's abit hard finding clothing that is not made in China nowadays…

      • +1

Well bonds used to be made in australia then a few years ago they cut all their aussie jobs, moved to china and kept their high prices.

      • Bangladesh is the new China, as we all know Chinese workers get paid way too much!

      • I just stating when that transtion happened, when you could sometimes see the same Aust and foreign made gear side by side, the price difference was marginal, 30% at best.

Now and then I still see Australian made, but it feels like they've shot the prices sky high as they feel they can guilt into it. Or just making the China made stuff look cheap.

Nice, underwear still too expensive but I got 6 pair of business socks for $17.94 delivered. Not too bad and cant be bothered going to local shopping centre finding parking to get it.

  • +1

Bonds is a little overpriced but the quality is so much better than other products available, plus they always have sales and free shipping!

  • +1

I bought my first bonds underwear half a year ago and they are much better quality than my other ones. It feels so much more comfortable and durable than my china ones (actually bought them from china). I bought socks too, and my socks normally break or fall apart at 6months but these are just fluffing up a little.

I am gonna buy another pair of undies. Thanks OP

    • I still get some bonds now and then, they don't last longer than a year.

They're nice because their has been a focus on comfort and style for men… translation: so they can charge us 25$ a pair instead of 10bucks a pack of 4

      • Oh that is disappointing. I am happy with mine so far though. Fingers crossed they'll last more than 1 yr.

At least they are on sale now.

  • -5

Bonds are entirely australian made and owned, that prob explains the price tag.

    • +3

did you just came from the past or something?

      • +1

        2009 it would seem.
In 2009, the board of Pacific Brands (parent company behind bonds) announced the sacking of 1,850 employees, after moving manufacturing operations to China.

EDIT: Should of mentioned, if you do want to support Australian made socks buy Humphrey Law.

    • +3

They use to be. Not anymore. On their tags they write Designed in Australia (in big writing) with made in china (in small print) lol

    • Don't forget that they took millions in subsidies to buy equipment to help them stay in Australia… a year late they shipped it all to China.

Its business understandable… but the prices of bonds are not signifcantly cheaper than when they were Australian made, that's what really peeves me off.

  • I wouldn't buy at the normal price but with 40% off they're good prices, ordered a few tops last night

  • +1

Thanks op, ordered few tops just now for my wife, happy wife happy life…. Lol.

  • +2

Don't forget www.bondsoutlet.com.au as well. Some stuff for 60%+ off. Maybe not all sizes, but worth checking first.

  • well gave in and bought some stuff

  • Got some sweet trunks for a tenner
