    Tell me more…

    • There are several GPS software available for free in the Internet (one is included on CD disk)

    • Throw a dice… Maybe the software will just show a random speed you were travelling at, ranging from 0km/h to 1000km/h.

Spec says the front camera is normal HD 1280x720p at 30fps, however the back camera is a weird 1720x720p at 25fps.

      • Thx, I've just updated description: 2nd camera - 1280x720-25fps
as for Speed, You can see real speed while driving and the camera records speed on micro SD card.

    • JV, you were impressed by that feature also?

    (Referring to the first offer)
In the webpage look at picture number 5 and number 8.
Both show the same end of the camera body (under the rubber flap).
However the pictures show 2 different ends:
    - Picture 5 has a reverse cam jack connection and no GPS sensor 4 pin connection
    - Picture 8 has no rear cam jack hole but has the GPS connector.

    Rep, please explain.

I have the version with GPS sensor (like pic 8) and it has no rear cam input.
The build and quality of the cam and record is good.
It formats the microSD card in a proprietary way.
Attaching it to a PC allows the software read the card and view the footage, including G forces. It also allows export the footage AND .kmz navigation trace.
If it did have a reverse cam it would have been perfect for my purpose.
My mechanic was VERY stressed about the camera filming everything he did while doing the periodic service of the car :D :D

    • Yeah, some pictures are wrong.
I've just received this model. I'll take the correct pictures and update.
This model with GPS and with rear camera 5m long.

I think you refer to another model:
      http://www.securitylab.com.au/cameras/Dash-Cameras-Australia…
which is 1280x480P video resolution only and there is no parking assist

  • This thing wont able to beat my BlackVue DR550GW. :P

    • In price?

      • Functionality.

    • This below will beat any Blackvue or DOD :)

      • With no GPS? And with that huge cradle? Uhm no thanks.

        • Most people avoid the GPS function, for obvious reasons.

        • Sorry I'm out of loop a bit. Why is that? I don't see any harm using GPS, unless you are having an affair. ^_^;

  • I HATE! the mounting bracket on these cameras, BUT! I like the slim car Cameras you have on your Home page, I have one of those models (the $46 one), and I'm rapt!

If you want reversing sensor, get "proper" dedicated system.

I have a 40 dollar dash cam of theirs (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114037) and while the video quality and frame rate is more than acceptable, and the thing is a breeze to use, the mounting bracket is just hopeless. (The black-plate that attaches the camera to the suction cup or adhesive mount).

The slightest bump or movement of the charging cord will set it off and it requires nothing more than a little knock to actually detach the camera out of the mount.

I've had to superglue the back-plate and the mount in place.

  • is it ok to mount the rear camera externally?
i have a ute with a long tray, so i would need to mount it under the tray somewhere to make it viable for parking etc

    • They're not waterproof and the mount is nowhere near strong enough to keep the camera in a fixed position on the exterior of a car, especially if it's bumpy.

  • Rep, how does the reverse plugin camera work? Is there a button to push to switch to reverse cam? Link to the reversing ligths?

    • hi,

I'll update the pictures in 3 hours in the listing.
I've just deleted couple pictures which were wrong . Please check again now.
The rear camera is connected as single small AVin plug (please check the pictures)

      • The question is different.
It is not how you connect, that is obvious from picture.
The question is: How do you display the reverse camera image INSTEAD of the normal display when you backup?
Or is it that this device does not have a second inbuilt camera and it has an external one instead?

        • Both cameras are on one screen and it is PIP ( picture in Picture) but you can switch between cameras keeping just one camera pressing a button or keep both cameras on the screen.
And It records what's actually on the screen.

        • Thank you.
If is not too much to ask - which button, is it visible in any of the pictures?

        • It's left button near POWER LED

or you can consider another with remote control
