1st generation Samsung tablet. I'm surprised you can still buy these new. Seriously outdated.
Price is OK, but I'll pass.

  • Also DJ will be 'outsourcing' most of their gadget selling to dick smith from next week apparently - clearance galore!

  • This is Out of stocks online and in many stores. $299.50 with coupons if you can find any stocks.

  • Not as good as this deal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/104277

  • Tragic specs.

  • If you're considering this tablet be aware that the Galaxy Tab1 10.1 3G does not support GSM calls (calls via mobile networks) although you can make voice calls via Skype (and possibly other VOIP apps). There is a hack available to install GSM voice support but it's not an easy install. The Galaxy Tab2 10.1 3G and later do support GSM calls.

  • Dont bother with this since its running the old Tegra 2 chip and very much limited to be pre-Ice Cream Sandwich. You can probably put some CFW ROMs to get it better, but dont even bother.

I have the wifi 64GB version and there is an official update to android version 4.0.4.

edit Also found mention of Android 4.2.2
"According to SamMobile’s “trusted insider”, Samsung is also testing Android 4.2.2 ROMs on the first generation Galaxy Tabs based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform. If those tests meet the required performance standards, the 4.2.2 update might become available on first generation Tabs (8.9 and 10.1) as well."

    can be had for less.

and for those who need 3g, get 3g on your phone and then tether.

  • absolute shithouse tablet

  • I just bought this one 32gb and 3g, happy so far. FYI tethering is not always an option for some people that do not have a phone that CAN tether, yes we are out there. :)
