      • yes, and pay $12 for shipping… hardly free…

once again hiding item costs within there shipping fee, so not cool.

        • -7

Shipping is free with orders over $100

        • +3

please change your title to be more accurate. because you cant pickup no one gets this "free". should read

Jim's Jerky - fill out survey and receive 200g Korma Curry Promotion for $12 delivered

        • $100 is a lot to spend on jerky just for free shipping.

    • Hey Boom, thanks for the compliment!!!!
Yes you have to order online to get the free bag :)

Had a laugh while doing the survey, 'Studious/Slack student' - I'm definitely on the second half of that fence :P

GOOD JOB 10/10 WOULD SURVEY AGAIN

I got the same one, i don't think it's unique.

This does give me that incentive to finally make my order after the freebie.

      Thanks JJ!

      • Anytime Jorkus!!!!

    • What is this code? I didn't see anything like that after doing the survey.

      • I'll message you a code

  • +3

Filled out the survey and was going to get some afterwards.
$12 shipping seemed a bit steep though

    • +1

      ditto

    • +3

      they make profit from postage.

    • +1

If you order over $100 shipping is free!!!
(Don't tell anyone but we'll do a good deal on shipping over the long weekend)

      • As a first time buyer i was looking for a sample pack.

Ill see if i can hold out till the weekend :)

    • +3

yes pretty sure this 200gram can go at large letter rate for $1.80

      • We aren't allowed to do that, trust me we have tried. We have to send our products in a postage parcel pack

  • +1

They should offer free pickup I would travel 12 KM for that. Well I do already and I would probably get some Biltong while Im there. Ohhh and beer sticks they are the best

    • Driving the Batmobile or F1 car?

      • +1

If you pulled up to the shop in a Batmobile or an F1 car I'd so give you a free 1kg bag. (Provided you let me take photos)
        :)

I have the suite ready to go…

        • +2

I'll get the Jerky and the camera

  • +4

$12 shipping is far too expensive, I pay the same amount to have shoes etc shipped.

  • Damn it.
Got to the end of the survey and realised you gotta buy something before you get a free bag.
Fail for not reading the whole post.

  • +4

filled in the survey based on the facebook page and it says nothing about only able to get the free beef when you place an order. misleading!!

  • +1

I finished the survey and I got nothing. No confirmation. no email. it just took me to main website. FAIL.

    • +2

On the last page of the survey there was a code, I'll message you one

  • +7

Deceiving title name, basically lure marketing, can someone amend title?

    • +6

      yes, very misleading

    • I got sucked in when the title read "Jim's Jerky - Free 200g Korma Curry Promotion (with Survey Completion)"

before, "with next order" was added.

Thought i was getting Free 200g Korma Curry for $12 postage. Ordered and went on holidays for a week. Saw cc bill couple of days ago. Slugged $37 for my trouble and told I misunderstood the 'deal'.

Will be returned to sender as soon as it's received. Jims Jerky = Boo.

      • so what exactly were you charged for?

sounds hell dodgy to me. nothing i hate more than dishonest reps/businesses

        • Was charged $25 for the 200g Korma Curry and $12 postage.

Received at my PO and sent straight back. Now refunded.

  • So the cheapest bag of jerky (30g) looks like its $5. Add the $12 shipping and assuming there is no minimum spend to use the voucher, the least you will pay is $17 for 230g of jerky delivered. Deal or not?

    • Considering you would pay $42 for the same amount on a regular order, it's a deal compared to their regular prices. Not sure I would pay for either though

      • this!

  • .

    • Could you please explain, I'm after some feedback for future deals

      • +3

I'm after some feedback for future deals

50% off, free postage for Ozbargain members…

      • +2

sorry - dupe comment - see above

As for feedback - I like your jerky - the sample I got was pretty tasty.

But the prices make it a luxury item - I need to buy a lot of jerky to make the postage enter the realm of reasonable. I can just imagine the look on my wife's face if I bought $100 worth of jerky.

The stuff I get from the grocery store is good enough, and I'm not doubling the price paying for postage.

        • okay Fair enough, what about our actual prices though?

        • +5

As noted postage is an issue. I pay $50-80/kg in the supermarket - not as tasty as yours but plenty good enough and I only have to spend $5-10 (for 100g) a pop with no postage. At your prices I would be paying more than $110 kg for the same amount of product, and then doubling the price with postage.

I can't justify spending that kind of money

  • Dupe comment - ignore.

  • +1

    survey was fun, cheers.

  • +1

Wow, great fun survey. But I never received a promo code (or never noticed it).

    • Thanks for the good feedback, There was a code on the last page so I guess you missed it. I'll message you.

      • +3

Funny how liking the survey is 'good feedback' but high cost of product and postage isn't ???

  • +1

Did the survey & looking forward to the free jerky :) Also ordered some biltong & drywors as I haven't tried them before.
