Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones) Kindle version 0.99 GBP each

720

The Song of Ice and Fire complete series by George R. R. Martin is on Amazon.co.uk for the kindle for 0.99 GBP each. The HBO TV series, A Game of Thrones, was based off this series of books.

If you are getting a message saying it is not available in your country, you need to go to your Manage Your Kindle settings page in amazon and change your Country Settings to the UK. This is a reversible process with no negative repurcussions from what I can see.

    Well done son.

  • Is transferring my Kindle account from US to UK a reversible process? I'm not going to run out of 'activations' or anything, right?

    • Yeah its easily reversible and you get to keep your ebooks.

You may get flagged and receive a email requesting ID to prove that you have moved to the UK.
I received the ID request when I changed from AU to US so I changed back to AU and fingers crossed nothing has happened.

  • Great post, I've already read the books, well listened to them on Audible audiobooks, but I'd be all over this if I hadn't.

    • What did you think of the audiobook, are they any good?

      • I travel alot so really enjoy the audiobooks and would recommend them. As with any audiobook (when compared to print) the thing I miss is giving the voice in my head to the narrative and characters, as opposed to someone else. That said I don't mind the GoT reading, though it does show the limits of the author fleshing out the 'world'.

Audible is perhaps the best source for the audiobooks if you are interested.

    Seven hells that's cheap

  • As well as changing my country setting, I also needed to transfer my Kindle account to the UK.

Your Kindle account will be transferred for all Kindle devices and Kindle reading applications that are registered to your account. If you prefer to continue shopping on Amazon.com for eBooks, you can transfer your account back anytime.

Lys. You can ask Salladhor Saan.

        • arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr … A pirate is for life, not just for Christmas!

  • Woah, great deal!!

  • Definitely more useful than tits on a breastplate.

  • Unfortunately the prices have all gone up. :(

  • Would have been a great deal (since I'm thinking about getting a Kindle Paperwhite), but has expired already :(

  • I have never understood why the charge for E-Books is so high. I remember years ago reading the justifications for books, things like advertising, shipping, printing, etc.
I figure it's much like HDMI cables; Most people will pay the price so that's what is charged.

I know I'm late, but great find. George Martin's books filled the gap left when I finished the series by Kate Elliot.
