Garmin Forerunner 410 $197 GPS & Heart Rate Monitor

20

Refurbished GPS + HRM. Looks like it might not come with the HR strap after all.

RRP $400. Update from the popular 405.

I picked it up from this sale http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115497

Nearly as cheap as a Forerunner 10 which is GPS only.

The bezel is a bit of a pain, but I think is a good watch in all. I like Garmin connect. Uploads to Strava no problems.

I have been able to get Heart Rate Variability working through Sport Tracks (so saved me $80 on a Bluetooth HR strap)

  • Hi, where does it say includes HRM?

    • Compatible with heart rate monitor
    • Very good point. The retail packaged watch definitely comes with it. Maybe this refurb model might be missing it. I'll keep looking.

  • For 40 bucks extra this is a much better deal for this discontinued model.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GARMIN-Forerunner-410-Top-Multi-S…

    • Not sure if that one has HR strap either.

      What's in the Box:

      Forerunner 410 GPS watch
      2 additional wrist straps
      AC charger
      Charging clip
      Manuals

  • Looks like the HRM isn't included.

I think the touch bezel would frustrate me. The forerunner 10 seems like a better option for me.

  • -1

GPS Heart Rate Monitor - Knows where your heart is.

  • Went to HN yesterday and bought the nike sports watch, which they had 25% off
paid around 135 for it, this is without the shoe chip which is only useful if you have nike shoes and no gps reception =)

    • Shoe clip is useful if you run indoors on a treadmill. The Nike + thing is a small tablet that sits under the insole in equipped shoes. As with the clip, it measures how many steps/strides you take. To make it accurate you need to know how many strides you take for a set distance (like a km etc). I used to use it but found it wasnt accurate for me so I switched to the Garmin GPS watch!!

  • This might be a better refurb deal at about ~AUD180 because it includes the premium heart rate strap:

  • With a heart rate strap included would have jumped on this in a heart beat (pun intended). Im pretty keen on the 620 when its released very flash.

  • If you are into GPS, I'd recommend i-gotu GT120
I use(d) it for cross country running and biking, all great.
PS: I think I bought it for cheaper back then - or I just got tight reading OZB all the time? :)
