In my opinion it is nowhere near as much wort as they ask for

  • +1

It doesn't list the specs for that price, but regardless it shouldn't really be over $1k if it's using integrated graphics..
    EDIT: Oops missed that "top-of-the-line" 640 =P

  • Sorry mate, too expensive.

And dat RRP is ridiculously high.

top-of-the-line Gaming PC that will set you apart from your rivals

    Ha, ha.

Have any of you guys ever owned a Dell or HP workstation Quality PC? Probably not. Thanks for the Negs.

I will post the specs now

      • +1

I'm sorry. But this isn't even a workstation grade PC. And the only thing 'HP' about this is the chassis, everything else is the same quality as for any other pc in terms of build.

And yes at uni, I use HP workstations for CAD and rendering. But they use Quadros.

        • -3

Each to his own…I don't mind paying for quality. Own a Dell Inspiron which cost me an arm and a leg - guess what, 6 years later it hasn't missed a beat.

        • Yep, there's no malice in my neg.

It's just that it's still that bit overpriced. And I really have to emphasise, that there is no such thing as 'quality' for these things, since the only thing that is theirs is the case of the computer.

Quality is the same for any other computer that uses these parts, the only thing that can add or detract is the chassis. Since ALL these parts are available to everyone.

        • +1

Actually I'm pretty sure they make the power supplies too, though I wouldn't say they are of high quality.

        • ..Inspiron is a cheapo consumer line, as is this

Dell and HP make solid business machines, this is just overpriced

        • +2

I don't really understand why you would come in asking "is this a good deal?", then argue with people who clearly have more knowledge than you about computer hardware as to why it is a good deal…
