    What do you use this for that you can't use your mobile for apart from the fact that it will have an unassisted gps?

      Usually the battery life on these will be way better than most smartphones.
      And many use AA batteries.
      They are usually waterproof and drop-proof as well.

      Why all the -ve votes for Jackson's comment? Aren't they just asking a reasonable question? Not everyone understands the difference between Magellan type GPS and smartphone GPS.

    Man that's a fantastic price. My girlfriend paid close to $200 for the eXplorist 110 for me for my birthday!
