  Can you recommend a good puncture resistent tyre for a hybrid. Current tyre specs are 700x38c - not sure if I can go different specs to this?

    I swear by Continental Gatorskins. The Hardshell Gatorskins don't last any longer and are pricier and heavier.
    Unfortunately velogear stock neither :(.
    Gatorskins only come in 700x23 and 700x25 in folding beads though. The wire beads are harder to put on but go up to 700x32. If you're riding in the city though, 25 is more than wide enough, but it depends on your rim width too.

    Hi Brad,

    Any of these are a good puncture resistant tyre for a hybrid. Any of these will fit on your rim.

    My recommendation is the Vittoria tyres. They are probably the best tyres out of all brands!

  Will anything 700c fit? I want something a bit thinner to get some more speed out of the bitc… bicycle :)

  Ended up getting the Maxxis Overdrive 700x38. $30 for two tyres to the door! Can't complain about that! I've been powering on so hard on the Roam that the back is wearing out quicker than the front!

  Your best bet for something a bit slicker and faster would be one of these:

  I inherited a Giant Elwood SE from my dad (it's not safe for him to ride a bike anymore), and it's been sitting in the garage for a couple of years so the tires are in pretty poor condition.

      Is there any particular tyre you would recommend for pavement/dirt roads? I'm likely to only drive around the suburbs.
      Also, what about tubes? The more reliable the better :P

    If you purchase 3 tyres at the checkout you should only be charged approximately $10.50 postage and we will send out 6 tyres alltogether for you.
    There is no need to place seperate orders.

  While I'm at it, I think I am going to have to service the "old" bike I inherited. It hasn't had any sort of service since it's purchase about 3 or 4 years ago, and has been sitting in the garage for the last 2 years.

  Once I clean some rust off it I though I might need to do something to oil/grease it (the wheels squeak a bit). Is there any information you can provide on cleaning/servicing or otherwise maintaining a bike with pointers to products you have available that can help me with this?

      Do you know if it is capable of suspending the rear wheel above the ground if adjusted to maximum height? I would order it if it could double as a sort of maintenance stand (at least for the rear wheel).
