Hello All,

Just got Big W's new brochure in the mail and they have Batman Arkham Origins for $58 starting on Friday.

Amazing price for a Day 1 New Release. Please note the link still shows $78, but as like the Pokemon sale I expect it will tick over once their current catalogue finishes.

  • Dammit.. my order has been dispatched from the UK already…

    • Really? Bummer mate :(

  • UK price would have being cheaper though right?

This is pretty much best price you will ever get in AUS on launch, UK might be a little cheaper but yeah… 2 week postage time usually.

    • You'd think so but it's not as the xbox 360 version is about $65 delivered on Amazon UK and about $60 delivered from Zavvi.

      • was $57 with Ozgameshop.

It's $57.99 so same price as the Big W deal.

But then you would of have to pay the CC currency conversion fee on top of that if you paid by credit card making it closer to $60.

Makes this Big W deal quite good since you can get it in store right on 25th of October instead of waiting for overseas delivery for a few weeks.

        • I pay with paypal so I don't get the conversion fee I believe. Still, i'm pleased to see an Australian retailer giving a decent price on a new game.

Anyone else bummed the Wii U version has got a two week delay?

    • +1

Not sure if the Bat approves being played on the Wii :)

I'm more bummed it's not getting a next gen release. Would have been a cracking Xbox One/PS4 launch title.

      • Sort of agree. But also sort of don't mind - you know it's going to be awesome anyway. I think three titles in one generation is a good number.

    • Also that its missing multiplayer and cost $10 more.

      • These games would be awesome with co-op mode.

  • Video ezy still has it for $48 if anyone is interested.

    • Amazing deal but that PS3 version is now $46.36 so it must have went down in price within the last 2 hours. Here is a link to the Xbox 360 version also at $46.36. It would be alright if you can pick it up at a Video Ezy store at that price.

I bet those who bought the game from overseas for $58 is feeling a bit let down right now.

  • Anyone know of any good prices for the CE edition with the statue? I got the statue from the Arkham City CE and was damned impressed.

    Wouldnt mind another like it.

  • If it's anything like Pokemon expect Big W to have next to no stock. Do the 9AM rush.

I traded a bunch of games to get the CE edition from JB.. I think I have to pay $39 on top of my rubbish titles I traded =)

Good price for a day one release but there's so much different about this one (not made by Rocksteady, no Kevin Conroy, Ron Fish and Nick Arundel not composing score). Might want to wait for a couple of reviews. It's not like it'll run out of stock first week.

    • You forgot Mark Hamill! Only read recently that Conroy wasn't on board - disheartening, but not going to stop me buying it day one. Asylum/City are too good a foundation for Origins to be bad.

I pre-ordered from Blockbuster for $44 +$2 delivery and shipped locally on 25th Oct, so if you're not worried about a couple of days wait - see this post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120034

It's an alternative but it's not worth a neg of this deal. It's not shipped locally. I'd rather pay a bit more and get this game day 1 than save a bit but wait 3 weeks for it to come from Hong Kong.

  • PS Vita version is $34 at Big W. Amazing price.

    • Not that the PS Vita "Blackgate" spin-off is a 2.5D (side-scrolling in a 3D environment) game. So no console style gameplay unfortunately.

  • Plenty in stock at Big W Carindale :)

  • Thanks picked one up from Gungahlin, ACT.
