  Is this for one bike only? What cross bar do I need to get to mount this rack? Are the cross bar standard for all vehicle? Thanks.

    1 bike only.
    It should mount onto any cross bars with 'T' channel. I'm not sure if it comes with other mounting hardware. One of the Thule websites should have downloadable instructions somewhere.

  If you have a tow bar on your car there's no reason you should be paying anywhere close to this for a bike rack; especially one as unwieldy and impractical as a roof-mounted one.

  You can get 3-frame capacity, tow bar-mounted racks for $60-80 dollars from your local camping/outdoor/4WD accessory store.

    I have a tow bar mounted carrier, however for my carbon bike I have gone with the roof mount.

      I would not destroy my carbon bike by using a $60 towbar mounted carrier.
      Just must remember not to go into any undercover car parks with the bike on your roof.

  I placed an order last night not long before your post (and then retired for the night).
  The free shipping offer ended yesterday, and the standard shipping cost is $15.
  The coupon posted gives $10 off
  I'd be interested in buying from them, but it's now $185 including coupon, $195 without.
  A couple of months ago, I saw it on eBay for $189 from local sellers, but they're now asking >$200

  I might try that Bike24 seller, but they're in Germany, and I haven't researched feedback on them.
  I do not have a towbar on my car, so this seems the next most convenient given I have roof racks.
