  • Cheap price but I really want the lithium version at a decent price!

  • Happen to have this item if anyone has any questions.

    • Thanks - I'm interested…

How is the battery performance and of course how is the suction?
      Would you recommend this product?

      • want to know as well

    • Cornbeef, is this powerful enough to pick up sand, dirt, bits of grass and small pieces of rubbish? Looking to get one for the car as I have floorboards at home and don't have a vacuum cleaner.

Also, how long does the battery run for?

      Thanks!

My apology - I just checked and ours is the 16.8V model, which sells for $98 http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Black_&_Decker_Dustb…

You may want to check them side by side. Plus you may want to see if something like this is still available to compare http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114635

On the 16.8V the battery performance is about 10 minutes on full throttle. It has a charging stand/disc, so I'm unsure whether it's also meant to be objet d'art. Generally we use ours for spills in the kitchen, sand in the hall, car seats, and conversation starter - that sort of thing - and it works fine for these jobs. The longer nozzle is useful and the suction is good.

I think it's handy around the home, particularly on carpet, and saves getting the big Vac out. It's quite a tall unit so will need a cupboard not a drawer. We tried the 18V BD pivot model as well but it had a flimsy latch set up.

For the car tiger you may want something that sucks for longer, like a DVD boxset of the Big Brother series, as these are better suited to ad hoc use.
