I refuse to buy from catch of the day.

    Hardly a good price.

    USD $20.19 8-Pack AA eneloop
    http://www.amazon.com/eneloop-typical-Pre-Charged-Rechargeab…
Or USD $30.17 delivered. The idea is you'll probably be buying other stuff from Amazon at the same time, without dealing with the dirty business dealings of CatchofTheDay. These are the 1500-cycle batteries in regular white jacket. I'd muuuuch rather be dealing with Amazon than these guys. Plus there's so much more in the way of chargers and other batteries (and many other things) you can pick up there.

1 AUD = 0.97 USD as we speak.

CatchOfTheDay, the same guys who purposefully sent (to multiple people) less glue sticks than claimed a while back, then had the nerve to refuse to refund the money whilst a PayPal dispute was opened. Refund eventually happened through PayPal anyway. First-hand experience.

They have demonstrated to me they are not worthy of my custom. They have demonstrated to me that they are dishonest. This isn't really a special price when compared to dealing with reputable outfits, in my opinion.

    • tried to order but wont ship to australia

      • tried to order but wont ship to australia

        2 reasons this may happen.

Make sure the item you're adding to your cart lists this on the page:
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

If it shows a third-party vendor, click the link a bit further down that says something like:
        67 new from $16.98

The number of items available could vary (and the price listed could vary), but that's not important. What you are trying to do is find Amazon.com as the seller for the product. Anyway, click this type of link and you should be presented with a list of sellers. Once you find amazon.com , add the item to your cart here.

Amazon sends its eneloop range to Australia. I just tried with the 8xAA pack and it works fine. Another reason you might be encountering restrictions is if you added some other product(s) that have restrictions to your cart. Remove the product(s) and check cart again. Amazon has some restrictions for some products, so it can be annoying sometimes. But its eneloop range should be good to go.

        Good luck!

    • This deal was originally for the free shipping. It has obviously been altered instead of being marked as expired.

Plus white batteries =/= coloured batteries. Having my batteries different colours allows me to easily keep track of them, so don't say it doesn't make a difference.

Coloured eneloops are nice. They are also individually numbered. No arguments that that can be useful (I like it). But my experience with CatchOfTheDay was like pulling teeth. In this case, I'd far sooner buy the white jacket regular packaging with a trusted vendor selling for a little more.

Admittedly free shipping originally offered here is (was) good. Again, if you want to deal with CatchOfTheDay…

        • Looks like they have delivered this time. My brother received his today and they are genuine.

        • Good to hear.

Rather purchase from DSE during their sales. Unless urgently needed I'd avoid COD…

With delivery fee this deal is no longer good.

You are better off waiting for DSE to have their newer model Rouge Eneloops for $21.50.

  • I would have purchased if free delivery and also I dont want to signup to COTD. Why isnt there a guest account, i.e. buy without registering. COTD need to redeem their image.

  • I have looked into all the recommendations on chargers. The Maha, La Crosse & Panasonic. All seems that they are mainly sold overseas. Does using a US to AUS adaptor cause any issues with these chargers? Or do you still get full performance out of them?

    • Does using a US to AUS adaptor cause any issues with these chargers?

      No issues.
World voltage capable (much like laptop power supplies, camera chargers, etc.)

  • I ordered the battery from COD. The order didn't go through due to some COD system issues, but there was a pending charge on my credit card. I sent COD an email, they replied me 3 business day after the email been sent. They cancelled my order and refunded the charge to my credit card.

Overall, it was not a pleasant shopping experience. The issues with their system, no phone support, late response by email, didn't process my order for me as I really need to battery.

I have been waiting to buy this battery for ages. Lean to the super power pack deal on Amazon, unfortunately, they charge for shipping fee which makes it isn't a deal any more.

Don't know how long I have to wait to get another local deal for eneloop.

    • New update: they said they were going to cancelled the charge to my credit card, however, that last time I checked my credit card record, the payment actually went through. Now I have to send another email to them to ask them to refund the money to me. This will definately my first time and last time to buy stuff on COD.

      1. Their system is so unstable
      2. They only provide email support, no call centre support
      3. Email support is pretty slow, it took me three days to get a response.
      4. Their email support wasn't professional. They assume me using V.me payment, and said they will cancell the transaction for me. But in fact, I used my credit card, I never used v.me. Also the transaction has got authorized.
      5. Email communication only works if they can response to my email fast enough.
      • Check your local DSE if they still have any glitter eneloop left. $20 is now DSE rrp if you can find any.
