  • I hope nVidia's recently announced G-Sync modules end up being made available for some of these Dells (well probably not these IPS panels as they're not currently supported, but y'know!).

    • +1

I hope so too. This monitor will probably last me 3 years or more.

  • Thats a really good price… though i'm hoping for a G-Sync IPS monitor release as well so must resist…

  • Is it that hard for Dell to make a monitor with great colour reproduction that can also do a response time of less than 5ms?

    • There is a "Game" mode which I believe cuts down input lag. Not sure it goes under 5ms or not though.

    • Actually, i think most IPS monitors are way higher then 5ms even when it says it on the official site… check Hardware.info for the actually response time… my IPS237 says its 5ms but tests show that it is at the lowest 6.3ms or something… but IMIHO, it doesnt really make much difference i don't think… it still seems responsive enough to me in general game play.

      • I have a U2410 at the moment which is 5 - 6ms response time. Can't say I notice any issues either. Then again I don't know that I've ever gamed on a 2ms screen.

        • Well for reference

Here's a side by side comparison of the three monitors (IPS237, U2410 and U2713H), looking at the response time… U2713H is actually better in most scenarios. It also goes to say my monitor has 0ms input lag… lolwut?

I hope the link works because there website is abit of a mystery to me sometimes…

Anyway, a side note… had a look on ebay to see if there are cheaper ones… Dell on ebay is actually selling this for the next 4 days for 30c dearer lol

        • Not bad for those who can't make the current sale!

Yeah I can't get the link to work for me, but I've heard there are significant improvements in lag in the newest series of screens. Dell have sms'd me with confirmation for delivery Monday morning.

Hopefully it arrives with zero dead pixels or issues!

  • Any idea how these compare to the Kogan 27" ?

  • I recently just found this online, thought its not the same product… it does have comparable specs and then some

    Overlord Tempest - Glossy

$730 incl. delivery… it isn't too bad since it can go up to 120hz with the same resolution and still IPS as well
