It might be a pricing error and they have it corrected, as I can see online now the price is $29.99 per case of 6 and $6.99 per bottle, instead of what appeared in your upload pic $14.99 per case and $2.09 per bottle.

EDIT: When switch to a WA store, the price CHANGED to $14.99 per case of 6, then, that proved it is WA only :(

I've never tried Sol I gather its similar to corona.

    • It's like the retarded half brother. For that price though its cheap, but I'd prefer Coronas or Peroni

      • Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    • +9

      better than Corona IMO

not much flavour, just a great refreshing summer beer

      • +7

        +1 Better than Corona.
Actually there aren't too many frothy's that I rate under Corona

    • +1

Why do so many people like Corona?

      • In my experience, people who don't like the full taste of beer prefer Corona, because it's quite 'watery'. It's alright for summer though!

        • This is why I drink it… I don't like a strong beer taste so I stick to Corona, Sol and occasionally Asahi.

    • Way better than corona and is the preferred beer of Mexico. Travelled through Mexico and barely saw a corona whereas sol was everywhere.

      • So corona is the fosters of Mexico then?

        • Whereas Sol sounds like it's the VB or XXXX, so take that with a grain of salt. That being said, it's not bad for a light-tasting beer.

        • I've tried both and while I'm not a huge fan cerveza style beer (unless its stinking hot and want something with a little more flavour than water) definitely prefered sol over corona.
Was just insterested in the coronas standing locally as it's shipped out to be 'the' beer of the region, however sounds very similar to fosters scenario here. Same can be said for Becks and Stella's I guess.

  • $22 delivered here in WA.

Edit: Scored 2 cases for $37 delivered :)

    • code does not work for me

edit: works when added with wine

    • I don't think that applies to beers if I remember correctly

      • +3

add a cheap $1.90 bottle of white to the order, then apply coupon. Works for me. 2 x cases of sol and the wine with free delivery :)

        • oh snap!

Maybe I should order some more :P

edit: grabbed a few more, cheers!

        • I can never get this to work. Adding beer and a bottle of wine to my cart still charges delivery :(

        • Same with me.

  • +1

Thanks OP - Good to get some deals in WA!

  • Don't mind an extra case of Sol!

On another note, paid $16 for a pint of Asahi on the weekend, is that normal?

    • Where did you get Asahi on tap? I remember paying 16 dollars for a pint of Hoegaarden at Belgian cafe in Perth.

      • Asahi on tap at SGC Lounge in Melbourne. Not the best place, but mrs had a voucher.

      • The Brisbane used to have it on tap. Do they still do it?

  • Is it working for anyone still? I have it in my cart, but when I go to check out, I get returned to the home page. The link is also no longer active. I guess it was a price error.

    • It was still in my cart and I managed to check out by logging in on my mobile. I got the last case at Currembine. There were none at Balga or Hyde Park, and only one bottle at Morley.

      • Just got a call from the store; they only have 4 bottles rather than 6 and they expire today, which is why they were so cheap. They said I can pick up the 4 and they'll refund the other 2. I'm cool with that; I'm sure they'll be fine to drink this weekend.

        • dang, expire today? I just ordered a bundle!!

hopefully won't regret the decision too much

        • +1

beer is fine for months after the expiry

        • 1-2 months at most. Same with Kegs.

  • $29.99 in Bundaberg QLD..

  • Cheers, managed to get one. The free delivery code didn't work unfortunately.

    • snap, southern river store just called and told me they have to refund :( out of stock

argh can't issue online refund apparently, have to go into the store! grr

  • Grabbed two cases delivered (plus cheap mini bottle of wine) for $32.48. Many thanks

    • Same here. Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP! Free delivery worked fine too.

  • +1

Oh yea this is Sol Goodman

    • Thanks op, 110$ for one bottle of wine and 39 liters of beer delivered. Not bad at all.

    • Better call Sol.

  • +1

Tried to fool it by setting a WA store, and opting for Home delivery, up until the final page it was only charging me $14.99 (x2) + $7 delivered ($37 total), then it increased to $29.99 (x2) + $7 ($67 total).

    :(

    • I've tried the same too, then realised that their system is quite clever but not friendly enough as they increase the price without warning at checkout then if someone didn't check the final price….

  • Comes up for me as $14.99 plus delivery if I pretend to be from WA, $29.99 if I choose NSW.

If anyone can find a way to get the $14.99 price nationwide they're a legend :)

  • -6

    No deal for qld

  • +1

    when is expiry date?

    • Yeah maybe thats why its cheap

  • No Deal for vic

  • Not as good as good ol' Red Can but looks the goods price wise, if there's any left after work I'll grab a few.

  • Two cases and a cheap bottle of wine delivered for 32 but ain't bad!

    • All gone.

  • 22.99 at mornington Vic

  • $21.99 Inner North Melbourne

  • Coopers Mild Ale 750mL is only $2.50

    • awesome find but none near me

  • Im in melbourne if i sent me my local store as WA i can get the price but the max they will give me is two bottle
. so 9 dollar for 2 beer and a bottle of wine shipped

  • -2

Corona is the best guys. Don't this cheap import Mexican beer, do if you want diarrhea.

    • From my experience, Sol and Corona are pretty much similar. I used to drink a lot of both when I was working in Hong Kong where both of them are popular in the pubs and hotels.

  • Missed out, cant order more than 2 bottles at a time.

  • Better call Sol!!

  • Expired? Doesn't work @ my local in WA.

  • +3

If you're in WA you can still get the bottles for 2.99 each. not as good as 2.50 at yesterdays prices but it wouldn't surprise me if the ones they are selling now are not expiring on the 23rd Oct 2013 as the price for the case of 6 is now back to $29.99. Yesterdays price was not a price error but today's bottle price definitely looks like it is. I wouldn't expect them to have happy customers if they are charging full price for expired product either. Yesterday the 2.50 price was not expired yet but today those beers would be. I think an extra 50c per ~litre for an expiry date months in advanced vs 1 day is a better deal. Its still cheap at about 1$ a normal sized beer.

If i didn't by so many yesterday id definitely get some more today.

If you want to buy them for 2.99 only buy 5 at a time as going over 5 converts the price to 6 for 30$. IE
    2 orders at 5 bottles =$15 x 2 vs 1 order of 10bottles at $50.

It is online only but with the FREEOCTOBER code for free delivery just add a bottle of wine you want/cheapest you can find and order 5 bottles at a time.(freeoctober code doesn't come off the total until the very end)

FREEOCTOBER expires today i believe. I drank a few bottles of yesterdays deal, there was nothing wrong with it, I'ts definitely an easy drinking beer due to a very light beer flavor. well worth 2.99 for 940ml.

PS if you're a home brewer i think the bottles would be great.

    • Ahh, I see. Thanks :)

    • it seems you can only order 2 bottles at a time now.

  • None in store at North Perth.
none in cool room, none left on shelf, but saw the empty white boxes they were in a t the front of the shop :(

  • F*ck you DM, why NO NSW!!! :(((

  • Just want to say that dan murphy's were really cool about my refund. I was a bit annoyed at having to go to the store to collect it but they ended up throwing me a 6 pack for free for my troubles. Made it all worthwhile :P
