Herald Sun Summer Uni Offer: 12 Weeks 7-Day Home Delivery + Digital Access for $20

170

It was pointed out when the Herald Sun uni subscription offer was launched at the beginning of the year how the Summer component of the offer was removed. Well it seems it has become a separate offer which now offers for $20 12 weeks of 7-day home delivery between November 25th & February 16th 2014 along with news+ (digital access) for the same period. The offer is pretty good value when you consider just digital access is normally $16 per month with 7-day delivery on top of that pushing the price up to $36.

NOTE: The website requests that you need to enter your Student/Staff ID number to be able to access the offer. Not sure though whether they check what number is entered against eligibility?

  • I dont think the would check whether you entered a genuine id or not.. It would be pretty hard to check among so many unis

That's what I was thinking, I tried typing in '12345678' before posting assuming it would reject it but it allowed me to progress to the payment section

    • I doubt unis would disclose such info.

Good offer here, but is there anything like this for The Age?

    • I don't believe there is for students.
It's been awhile since The Age had a deal. They keep bumping mine up by $20 each time I renew my 6mths x 7 day subs. The latest is $140/6mths which is about $5.40/wk - about the same as buying the weekend papers.

I miss the old Sydney Morning Herald uni offers, they were very good :(

Good mulch for your garden but very expensive to the environment. I tried using it as fertiliser but the plants found no value in it either despite each edition containing many metres of bullshyte.

Can you do this for the Advertiser?

Can't believe they actually expect us to PAY to read this tripe!

    • I don't read this paper whenever I come across it.
I just look at the pictures of the cute furry animals and do the crosswords.

      For the subscription:

Does anyone know if they have the facility for suspending delivery when you are away and auto extending the subscription period accordingly?

      EDIT:
You may not suspend the digital access component of your news+ Full Access Subscription - Non Renewing. Newspaper Home Delivery can be suspended online via My Account or by contacting Customer Support on 1300 MY NEWS (1300 69 63 97) or by emailing Customer Support at [email protected].
Please notify us a minimum of 5 business days prior to a suspension.
Any suspension in Home Delivery will not extend the end date of the subscription. You will not be charged, nor would you get a refund, for the period of the suspension. You may also at our discretion be able to access the digital/online content during the period of suspension.

Great offer if you want to pay for Liberal propaganda and editorial bias!

Why all the negative comments? I find the Herald Sun to be a most agreeable source of news. Kept me in office for years.

Any student caught reading this should be instantly expelled. It's the polar opposite to education. It actually makes you dumber!

  • don't forget that you can always read newspapers for free via your public library's pressdisplay access :)
