    4.To claim the Offer:

    a.Purchase a Participating Product from a Participating Retailer between Friday 1 November 2013 and close of business on Sunday 12 January 2014;

make sure to buy it tomorrow

not sure whats the different between the breville or DeLonghi in terms of build quality etc, but david jones sells the breville one cheaper (the design is different, the front part of the machine where the coffee comes out looks different)

  • Breville is an Australian Company founded in 1932, De'Longhi is an Italian Company founded in 1902 and they have been in the coffee business for over 100 years, their machiens are made in Europe while the Brevillea re made in China?

Either way both companys are owned by Europeans so i would for for the De'Longhi just for the confidence of pure Italian coffee

You know that Kmart machine for $29 was a bargain, this isnt… they both do the same thing.

    • are you sure do they do exactly the same thing on getting most of the coffee out of the capsules? If so a Samsung Galaxy S will do the same thing as Samsung Galaxy S4, why bother pay triple the price for an S4?

    • This deal cheap compared to where you can get the same machine elsewhere
Compare apples (red gala) with apples (red gala)

not red gala to pink lady/fuji/sundowner

  • This one no frother, right?

I don't need it anyway, I am only using the $4 one or the $3 one from IKEA.

    • yeah its the solo model
so no frother which is why it is much cheaper than the ones at DJ

  • Everything are made in China these days and I doubt this coffee machine is made in Europe.

    • Nowadays made in Europe doesn't mean it is good.

Made in China with Europe or Japan quality is good enough.

  • How much is a good milk frother? Delonghi makes one too?

  • What's the difference with the Breville from David Jones http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121277#comment-1664848 which is $11 cheaper

    • besides the brand they have very similar specs
both do not come with frother

      i suppose the question is
do you want a black or white machine
do you want a Breville or Delonghi
do you want to shop at DJ or Bing Lee

do you want to buy it online? as Breville has no more online while Bing lee has free shipping (apparently…i did not go thru with filling out the complete form)

Delivery estimate to postcode 2065 | Change Location
Shipping cost estimates are listed below. You'll be asked to confirm your shipping option at checkout.

if none of these matter than probably go for the breville =)

      • DJ one still available online.

        EDIT:

Seem didn't work after added to cart.

        • no you are right…it seems like its back in stock online

  • I visited David Jones on Market St today, & stores are selling all small electrical at 20% until Nov 3 for DJ cardholders. So cardholders can buy any Nespresso machine at 20% off during this promotion, not just the U model. For those wanting the aeroccino, which does not come with this priced deal, you get one for free if you buy the 250 capsule welcome pack from the Nespresso store. Staff at the Westfield Pitt St Nespresso store showed me this deal today. You pay $179 for 250 capsules, & can choose either an aeroccino+ model machine or a capsule tower as your bonus gift. For some reason this deal isn't shown on their website, but is on display in store. This deal is only available for new customers for their first order. If you are happy to buy the 250 capsules offered in the pack (it is a fixed selection) the bonus aeroccino+ makes it a good buy.

  • The DJs sales rep also told me that the warranty on the machine is provided by Nespresso. It makes no difference if you have bought a Delonghi or Breville machine for warranty purposes.

  • Why expired still show $159 for me.

    • I've extended the deal just for you =)

Seems they decided to extend the promo beyond their 4 day sale promo

They've a specific splash screen for it now
right next to the 999 cappuccino machine splash

  • I am trying to enter the cashback claim and the sites cannot find my address or other 3 addresses I've tried. Anyone experiencing same issue ?

    • you might want to try the DJ breville post as well
seems more people bought that one

or the new Breville GG deal

  • I bought a Delonghi U Nespresso with frother yesterday. http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/en/davidjones/electrical/e…

Used the DJ Storecard, got 20% off, plus another $15 off using 'WELCOME' and 'TREATME5' codes bringing the price to $184.20. With the $60 cashback, this equates to $124.20. This seems like a good deal especially because you get the Aeroccino frother too!

    • If everyone can get it for this price then it is worth to have a post by itself….please….

  • cant edit it again but dont think it warrants a new post

price dropped to 155 until end of this Sunday (17th November)

  • Bought today (12 December) for $155 at Bing Lee Haymarket Sydney, they have 9 left in stock. Salesperson threw in a 10 pack of their pods, which was nice of him.
