Their products look good, wish it was widely available. Guys just remember this is a home business not a multinational to plunder :P

OP, Where did you find this deal?

    • Just stumbled across it. Think I was doing a search for Australian made curry paste or something like that. It looks like they have a pretty decent distribution (except around me) so I don't think they would be home based considering the requirements on food preparation standards in Australia. Obviously not a huge business though.

Hi, Rob here from Island Curries. I am home based, I have a large room turned into a mini factory. Sorry, but had to change conditions for free packet after I sent out nearly 400 free ones. I hope they will convert a few customers to my product. Cheers.

  • Received mine in the mail today which was perfect timing as they emailed me with a meatball recipe I was keen to try.

    • Surprisingly large size sample (serves 3-4).

Received mine too, cooked a vindaloo last night, so this will have to wait to be used :) Good on the business for honouring the deal too. :)

      Hope your business succeeds Rob!

  • Hi Rob,

A little feedback for you. I really liked the idea of emailing out a recipe to use the curry paste with. I made the meatballs and the taste didn't turn out too great but that was probably due to using beef instead of lamb mince (Woolies didn't have any) and the quality of the chef. I know I would be more likely to head back to your website and place an order if I head a really yummy looking recipe saved in my inbox for when it arrives. The price ($7) is high for a curry paste but the product seemed to be of a higher quality/better ingredients than what you buy in supermarkets so I wouldn't have a problem paying a little extra knowing that the curry paste is usually going to be the main flavouring of the meal.
