  • +$5.95 to add pocket to left breast.

    • I thought the same initially but double cuff shirts look better without pockets. Otherwise paying $46 for a CT shirt is still a good deal.

    • How much are elbow patches on their suit jackets?

      Seriously..

    • +1

Left breast pockets have no use. If you put things in them, they ruin the cut of the short and looks ugly. Very unprofessional too; if you're in a professional industry.

  • How do these compare to van heusen or mj bale shirts?

    • +1

Van heusen is pretty crappy quality imho; I find CT shirts to be considerably better than most of the Myer/DJs brands. My MJ Bale shirts are comparable to slightly nicer than my CT ones.

  • How long 'til this expires?

  • These shirts are reasonable quality, just don't fall for the old trick of "Normally $10,000, but for you my good friend only $39!". Website tries to give the impression of a Savile Row tailor, but the shirts are Made In China - not a criticism, since pretty much everyone manufactures in China. I did try on a few at their Times Square store the other month and their cuts aren't bad.

That said, you pay pretty much the same price for a standard business shirt from any retailer, so feel free to buy one at this price and see how you personally like it.

You don't buy two ply cotton shirts for $40 from "any retailer".

  • excellent shirts. also they all come with brass collar stays

  • Really like these shirts. Their sizing is great for my extremely long arms. Have not found a shirt in aus that has an arm length comparable to these. Just ordered another 4 the other night with the 39.50 code. Offer expires early December if I recall correctly.

  • Is there anyone on here that has a these shirts and also wears van huesen? Just wanting a size comparison. The slim fit medium (39-40 neck) van huesen shirts are a pretty good fit for me, was wondering if anyone that has worn both shirts could point me to a similar size/style in the CT range? Not sure whether to try slim fit or extra slim fit.

    • Slim fit is more of a reg sizing

  • Damn just ordered a shirt the other day and had to pay the $12.95 for shipping!

Just my 2 cents: these shirts are pretty good quality. My house mate owns Van Heusen shirts and he's not a big fan of them. I own half a dozen of these charles tyrwhitt shirts. I am collar 38 cm and 84 cm sleeve length. I am about 178 cm tall. Most of the shirts that I have bought are extra slim fit - and they fit nicely.

  • Just received my shirts. They're great quality and a good fit.

  • I just got my shirts, ordered 15.5" neck (39cm) with 84cm sleeves, in extra slim fit. These are still baggy on me (chest 104cm, waist 81cm) so I am going to return them and go 1 neck-size down. In addition, I need to go up in sleeve length to 86cm … hooray for free returns!

Quality (by the one I tried) is excellent. For $39.50 you can't go wrong. Don't even consider buying those Target $40 "premium" shirts.

  • Thanks OP, ordered a few shirts again. I did get a $20 off code with my last order but it did not work with special offers :/ too bad as it was expiring today. Anyways, happy with the price as I have to get them altered for longer sleeve lengths and only reasonable options I find is CT (incluing paying extra for alterations) and Van Heusen variable sleeve length shirts.
