  • Awesome find! Thanks

  • Useful, thanks for the post.

  • Thank you. Will give it a try.

No stars and no reviews. It might have went free out of necessity.

Thanks for the heads up, OP.

    • Don't know, but I have it on Mac from a MacHeist bundle and quite like it. As advertised, distraction free writing with themes etc. Nothing fancy, but that is kind of the point. Not sure how useful it is on phones or tablets as it was initially meant for … writing (a lot). As in, the thing that is not fun to do on phones or tablets.

    • It's always had decent reviews in the press

I don't know what it actually does differently that was worth $5.49 in the first place.

    Will download and find out.

(Edit: It doesn't do much at all)

    • Looks like it's just a simple note (from the screenshot and description)? That explains why people didn't buy it, as there are many good free ones already out there anyway

And I doubt it is the original.

        Why?

"Doubt" is not a valid reason to neg a deal. And yes, this is the original app.

  • Just having the forward and back arrow makes it worthwhile. Thanks.

  • This is the app that I use for my to do list and many others small things. It's great having it synced with Dropbox without having to rely on another program like Evernote to open my files on the computer. Loving the white text on a black background as well.

  • "It's only been free once before… Four years ago"

And still no stars or reviews in four years. How odd.

The reality is that REAL writers will write to a 'computer' with a real keyboard, because ergonomically it's quicker and easier. And '• FONTS & COLORS make the environment yours.' actually distract from the writing process, not help it.

It seems like a capable little text app, however it's poorly described and targeted as a 'writers' app. I think this app should be better served changing it's target market away from 'writers' and rewriting its description accordingly, focussing more on its features and benefits.

    • I read about a guy who wrote an entire novel on his smartphone during his commute to work and got it published. But yeah, I couldn't imagine any serious writer would bother using this software.

      • That's impressive. I've got fingers like a pack of sausages, I'd spend most of my time correcting errors…
