  • Thanks, just bought one!

    • +2

      Ditto!

      Well done OP.

      Best to note though that the cash back is for a gift card, and not cash.

      Pax

      • +5

        "The $100 card will entitle the bearer to use it anywhere eftpos is accepted", as good as cash to me.

    • Me too. Always love bargain prices on quality goods.
      Well, I lie. I love any bargain prices, even when it is Tmart :-) But my wife will prefer this one much more for sure.

  • And you must claim within 14 days of purchase. Offer valid on purchases between 1 November until 15 January 2014.

    Got one for the wife's Christmas present. Think she may get the hint :-). Thanks for the bargain !

      What hint would that be, that you're wanting to get hit over the head with a heavy object?

  • Harvey Norman Best Price Guarantee
Terms & Conditions ("Terms")
    1. The Harvey Norman Best Price Guarantee must be read subject to these Terms.

    1. Harvey Norman stores and Harvey Norman Online are operated by independent Franchisees (Relevant Franchisee) pursuant to franchises granted by subsidiaries of Harvey Norman Holdings Limited.

    2. To be eligible for the Harvey Norman Best Price Guarantee, you must provide to the Relevant Franchisee on the date of your purchase, or within seven (7) days after the date of purchase, evidence of any genuine competitor’s advertised price for identical product (ie, same brand, colour, model and quality) as advertised in a local daily newspaper, catalogue, radio, television advert or website. The competitor must have, or had the identical product in stock at the time the product was purchased by you.

    3. The identical product must be a lower price (lower price) than the advertised price or the price you paid for the product, after all allowances, bonuses, cash backs, and discounts, include any delivery charges, and advertised and available for sale by a local retail competitor actively engaged in the Relevant Franchisee’s local retail market (competitor), during the period seven (7) days prior or seven (7) days after the date of your purchase. You may be required to supply the Relevant Franchisee with evidence of the competitor’s advertised price and the Relevant Franchisee reserves the right to verify the evidence of the identical product sold at the lower price.

    4. If your claim qualifies for the Best Price Guarantee, the Relevant Franchisee will lower the price by either reducing the advertised price, or refunding to you the difference between the lower price and the price paid by you or by the inclusion of bonus product to a value which betters the lower price.

    5. The Best Price Guarantee does not apply where:

    (a) the competitor has an online store only, and does not have a physical retail store in Australia;
    (b) the lower price is conditional, or a price determined after the allowance of any amount for, or is part of a promotion involving, financing, installation, delivery, bundling, rebates, cash back offer, free or bonus offer, trade discount, stock clearance or any limited quantity promotion;
    (c) the lower price is offered for a bulk purchase;
    (d) the lower price is offered under any promotion with a third party (including, but not limited to, promotions with newspapers, exhibitions or other special events);
    (e) the lower price is not available to the general public;
    (f) the identical product is advertised in classifieds, commercial resellers or distributors who sell direct to the public, parallel importers, grey importers, direct importers, fire or liquidation sales, rack, clearance and warehouse outlets;
    (g) the lower price has been discounted by the competitor by use of coupons, loyalty rewards, redemption of frequent flyer miles or similar and other offers or incentives to reduce the total cost;
    (h) the lower price has been discounted by the competitor on the basis that the product is a display stock only, end of line, seconds, refurbished/repaired lines, ex demo, limited quantity, clearance, trade or factory seconds, second hand or similar;
    (i) the lower price is the result of an error by the competitor; and/or
    (j) the Relevant Franchisee is unable to verify, using reasonable means, that the lower price or the advertised product is available for purchase.
    7. The provision of the lower price or the inclusion of bonus product to a value which betters the lower price by the Relevant Franchisee will be the sole and exclusive compensation payable to you if you show the Relevant Franchisee did not meet the Best Price Guarantee.

    1. The Best Price Guarantee may be terminated or amended at any time without notice.

    2. The Best Price Guarantee is only available to you on the date of purchase or during the period seven (7) days after your date of purchase from a Relevant Franchisee.

    3. The Best Price Guarantee is subject to you complying with the Relevant Franchisee’s usual terms and conditions of trade.

    4. The information you provide to the Relevant Franchisee will only be used to provide the Best Price Guarantee to you or to discuss your claim. A copy of the Relevant Franchisee’s Privacy Policy is available from a Relevant Franchisee. HN Best Price Guarantee Version 2.0 November 2011

    • +1

      Point?

      • +2

        I'm guessing it would be…

        (a) the competitor has an online store only, and does not have a physical retail store in Australia;

        Still worth a try though.

  • FYI it says delivery 24th or 25th Nov isnt it cutting it close to the 14 day after purchase that barcode must be sent in, could we pick these up??
    Purchase 1 for misses $149 a steal but if dont get redemption in on time im going to cop it .

    • +1

      Good point, it must be received within 14 days. My delivery to WA is 6 days so for some the extra $17 to buy from HN is still a viable alternative.

      • How do you its 6 days delivery upon purchase it ask to select delivery days but only 1 i was able to select was 25.11.13?
        Is this the same with everyone else?

        • It must vary with location / proximity to their warehouses. I'm in WA and the earliest delivery date for me is 19th of November.

    • All sorted out staff from Appliances Online called 8am and said will have one sent out tomorrow morning. Make sure you check your delivery dates.

  • +1

    May as well go through Velocity for bonus points.

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/122739

    As for getting HN to price match, as they're offering it with a bonus $20 card, would that not mean that it's not an identical product?

    • I got a lady offered me $269. With Amex deal I am $30 better off.

      • Ahan what store did you buy this from?

        • +1

          QLD Aspley

  • +4

    This deal gets me all hot and steamy.

  • I order yesterday afternoon and got a confirmation that it'll be here tomorrow morning before 10am. I'm in Vic btw.

  • +1

    Ordered yesterday at 2PM, delivered to Perth Metro today at 1PM, great service and great post, thanks OZBargain!!

    • I ordered yesterday at 10am, but the earliest delivery to Perth metro for me was 20 November.

      Now I have received urgent contact from AOL, saying they are backordered and earliest delivery is 2 December.

      Whilst AOL have been communicating with Tefal to see if the redemption can be modified so it is eligible for the later delivery, I think it is fraught with danger and $100 is too much to lose, so I have canceled my order.

      A real shame.

      • The best HN (Midland WA) could do is $280 but I took it anyway. $280-($120 worth of gift cards)= $160, not much more to pay and you get to post the rebate out quicker!

        • Called into Harvey Norman Osborne Park with a printout of the AOL sale and the manager said fine and I'll beat it by $9, so I got it for $240.

          Harvey Norman Malaga were also prepared to price match over the phone.

          Only downside is the hassle of collection, especially if you don't have a car.

          Thanks for notification of the offer OP.

        • Wohoo, went back to the store today and mentioned the price match at Osborne Park. They gave me back $31!

  • Mine was delivered today 5pm - needed to sign and show ID for delivery.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. HN price matched without question. So after $20 eft pos card redemption , $30 statement credit from AMEX and $100 cash back from Tefal end price comes to $99. That is a great bargain OP.

    • Wow. Good job.

    • -1

      this $20 eftpos card redemption from HN or from Tefal?

    • which HN store did you go to?

  • +1

    did anybody try their Tefal GV7550. do you guys recommend it?

    • Depends on how many shirts you iron. Say 3 in a week then no. I iron 6 shirts, 2-3 pairs of pants, wife irons out rest of laundry. Saves us so much time and effort. The fact that we dont have to choose a setting for each type of garment makes it so easy. For $99-$166 totally worth the investment. Your clothes will love you.

  • just bought one got price match 249, the guys can't do price beat, not bad.

  • I used the iron today. I couldn't really feel much difference from my old $40 Phillips iron to be honest.

    • hmm. did you use it as advised. press steam while going in one direction then return back without steam?

      • yes i did. And the bottom plate is too thick it doesn't allow u to iron under buttons easily. What i like about it is the auto shut off. it wont burn ur shirt if u leave it on the shirt and walk off.

        • yeah Tefal plates are thick. I have the same plate on my current tefal aquaspeed iron. the question is wether the steam generator is worth upgrading to. hmm puzzled.

  • Can i ask regarding information you need to send back to tefal, the original barcode, would that be from the actual box or the barcode on the brown box? this is the first time, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

    • The sticker on the outside of the box. That's the only barcode I could find.

      • thanks i'll give that a try

        • I cut the box (with the sticker), didn't want to risk ripping the barcode.

        • I just sent them the photocopy of the barcode. is that OK? a little bit worried

        • it said the original barcode

          don't asked to here if it is okay or not, we are not the promoter

        • +1

          First line of the redemption form clearly says:

          Keep original packaging and remove original barcode to redeem offer

          Dunno why joannatan got negged, even if a bit blunt. Most cash back schemes need original barcode or else people may abuse with multiple photocopied claims.

          zbb518, you should contact Tefal asap. They may just ask you to separately send in your original barcode rather than completely invalidate your claim. Details are:

          Ph.: +61 2 9748 7944
          Fax: +61 2 9748 7922

        • Just call them. My claim is processing(without original barcode), I will get my cash back next week. thx for your helping! cheers

  • Can someone enlighten about how to get the bonus $20 from Harvey Norman?
    Have been searching the site and reading around here but don't know exactly how to get the extra $20!!

  • does anyone know if they return the original receipt? what happen if we need later in case something go wrong.

    • As always make a copy before you send it. Just got the $100 card, receipt not returned.

  • I still dont understand how this thing only needs 1 temp. Does the soleplate get hot at all or is it the steam doing all the work???

  • How long did it take for people to receive the $100 card after posting it?
