  • Isn't 149 ppi is a bit too low in today's standard?

For an extra $29, grab the Asus MeMO Pad ME302C instead. The voucher deal is gone, but the ASUS will still beat the Galaxy in terms of specs.

    You'll get

    ASUS Spec Samsung Spec
    1920x1200 resoulution 1280 x 800 resolution
    IPS LCD TFT LCD
    32GB NAND 16GB NAND
    2GB RAM 1GB RAM
5 MPX rear cam 3 MPX rear cam
    • Also comparable is the Cube U30GT2
Comparison by user of both this samsung tablet and it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWz_IrYwuOM‎
Same spec as asus except for SoC, Hard to compare compute since ARM vs x86 but graphics wise cube wins
SGX544MP2 vs Mali-400MP4 and cheaper again by another 60$ edit: quick check on benchmarks, on compute rk3188 seems to lose to the atom (rk3188 comparable to Exynos 4412, atom comparable to Exynos 5410) http://aud.dx.com/product/cube-u30gt2-10-1-capacitive-screen…

      • After owning a Cube U30GT tablet, I wouldn't spend the money on another one again. I'd gladly pay the extra 40 to 50 dollars for a branded tablet.

While the performance was good, the battery wasn't top quality (degrades quickly and battery percentage is reported incorrectly), the screen was plastic instead of glass, and the charger that came with Cube was also a little dodgy — it caused the screen to report phantom touches when it was plugged in. I suspect it might have something to do with the dirty power the PSU was supplying to the tablet.

        • If the Mali-400MP4 chip performance is anything like the one in my android TV stick, then there's no real comparison to the Asus tablet. Asus tablet is a lot better than that.

  • The Asus is great tab, even does reasonably well at light gaming. The screen looks good and the speakers are great too.

People were getting excited when it was a pricing error for $280 at OW a couple of weeks back, but no-one seems to keen on this when it can be price matched for $5 more?
I got one anyhow to replace my HP Touchpad.

    • Perhaps many of them bought the Asus which was arguably a better bargain than this.
