  • Good price. I've got a Panasonic 4 blade, works well. This has only 3 blades, but is a lot cheaper!

  • Never tried a electric shaver in my life yet… Would it be better than razor disposable blade tip?

    • +1

      Blades still come closest.
But these things can be used on dry skin as well as wet and give the user some safety from cuts. Lots don't bother with electric shavers, while others use them daily. Depends on what kind of person you are.

      • You can wander round the house shaving doing stuff with an electric shaver. Bonus points for simultaneously brushing your teeth, and/or taking a wizz. You could even shave while waiting for a mate.
Personally I wouldn't bother with the models with a cleaning unit, as the cleaning unit is harder to clean than the shaver, plus you'll have ongoing cleaning pad costs. I changed to the ES8103S with an ultrasonic cleaning mode, you rinse it in water. Easy.

          Indeed :-)

I haven't even tried this one yet, but it sounds intriguing and a comprehensive way to (presumably) prolong the life of the device by giving it the manufacturer's comprehensive cleaning treatment. But generally I shy away from the ongoing maintenance costs like you say, so I doubt I'd be doing it longer-term without concocting some sort of DIY treatment (ie. washing it myself)

  • the Panasonic ESLF71 4-Blade Shaver costs $349 at Shavershop.
(this one as pointed out only 3-blade)

  • Good find. Was after a new shaver. Worth getting the blades and foil if you are considering buying as it is cheaper to combine delivery cost and also cheaper than getting here.

  • Also a good special on this one - about $150 AUD plus $15 shipping reduced from $300 USD

Amazon's RRP (crossed-out) prices are rubbish, much like many other stores when quoting discounts.

Use CamelCamelCamel (or similar website) to track the real prices. The ES-LA63 you mentioned was offered a few weeks ago on OzBargain for quite a bit less than it's selling there now (It was USD $99.99 before postage)

Not quite as cheap as this model. The model here is apparently lower down the list but I don't know how the shaves compare between the two (in real terms). Might be very similar. Good thing is that I don't hear any mention of the LCD failing like on the ES-LA63's reviews (plenty have commented on that), and you get that big cleaner which has to be worth something to someone (even if it's only used to test it out). Some users also dislike the huge shave head on the Arc 4 models. I guess you need to try both to compare though..

  • Update:
Amazon is asking 94.99 USD (before postage) for the unit as I write this, therefore I have expired this deal.
It's worth another look in future in case they discount again.

Congrats to those who grabbed theirs at 73.99 USD before postage.

  • anyone received theirs yet? It's taking forever :(

Says it arrived into AU on the 21st and it's still being cleared……

    • Spoke too soon, found it sitting at my door step when I got home :)
