  • Awesome deal, has some of the best protection like bit defender.

  • +1

In case anyone wants to know - the subscription can be carried on to new versions of Kaspersky (2014, 2015)

  • Thanks

  • Pity, I just switched from Kaspersky to BitDefender a few weeks ago because Kas wanted $99 for a two year extension. Got BD for 12 months for about $25 from a USA site. Kas didn't bother replying to my 3 emails asking for a better deal which didn't help their cause one bit. By the way the 3 seat limit probably isn't implemented. Had no trouble registering 4 laptops on a 3 licence deal with both Kas and BD. BitDefender has its own particular financial transaction protection if you want to use it.

Yes, kaspersky are DREAMING with their prices. But, worst is, they are setting prices high specifically for the Australian market. It's cheaper in other countries.

I emailed them once for a discount, they made an offer but were still dreaming.

    • BitDefender is $15 for 3 comps/year on eBay.

i'd steer clear of anyone selling keys on ebay… been burnt twice, they sell the same key to multiple people.

        • Not only that - but they aren't legitimate keys either!
Stick to BIG ebay sellers/OEM editions from comp shops

You should have just bought another KIS OEM license can be had for as little as $10

For cheap software in Australia, I use PC Authority (http://store.pcauthority.com.au/?act=search&brand=55), which stocks both KIS and BD, as well as other major brands.

  • good deal…. :)

  • I used to have regional problem when I tried to activate kas key bought from amazon USA. Can I use this in other country?

  • I am using windows defender, had Norton on my htpc but it was resource hungry, how's kaspersky compared to windows defender and norton2k14.

    • Windows Defender is just for malware protection and is designed to co-exist along with normal antivirus software.

Defender is completely hopeless though. Never count on just using Windows Defender, it's detection rates are too low and its hopeless as a malware remover. I have never once seen it detect something, even though alarm bells are ringing on other antivirus software.

Use Malwarebytes instead as an on-demand scanner.

  • Windows 8.1 outlines its not compatible.. trying to find a work around.

  • Ok had to download 2014 license covers this and reinstall windows 8.1 to get out of a reboot loop.

    Working out now however.

    • Could you eleborate a little more? About to get this with a new comp :/

  • Thanks OP! got one
