  • Nice food there.

  • $49.50 is for the non-seafood nights. Seafood buffet is $72.50.

    • Went on Tuesday which was Asian themed. They did have prawns, prawn with rice and and prawn salad- assumed some are standard daily items not on the theme menu online- can't confirm. Lots of deserts.

Om my god, that "FOUL" review is amazing!

"On a recent trip to Cambodia, I ate a tarantula (as you do) but as I bit into the abdomen and my mouth filled with a warm custard of poo and eggs, even that was more appealing than anything I tried on your buffet last night."

      • $72 vs $25, different expectations. Would NOT say it was worth $72. $25 for buffet is alright. Expect lots of kids at the resort especially the early sittings.

What's the comparison with $25 for?

        • This deal works out to be 25 dollar per person and that would have put it on the same league as rsl buffet as opposed to 72 dollar which is regular price they were charging and people are expecting 5 star restaurant quality for that amount

  • I've had this voucher in my Costanza wallet since April :-P
Haven't found a good reason to visit this place yet - despite a visit to Sea World in May.

I hope they hand out 'fortune cookies' on Asian night, 'Ah, you suffer many disappointment tonight'.

Glad I read the reviews! Makes McDonald's look like high quality!

I think that you should judge a neg on your own experience and the price/deal not on other peoples reviews

      • -1

So I should waste my own money when other people are saying it's 'shithouse'?

What planet are you on? This is OZBARGAIN! NOT 'Oh… I'll just give my money to a poor restaurant in the hope that they serve me decent food when I could spend the same amount of coin in another one and be guaranteed a good feed'???

        • -1

Did I tell you to go? I said base your neg on your own experience. There are people who are saying its good too.

          Calm down.

  • Honestly if its actually affiliated with the SeaWorld franchise, I am not surprised its terrible, pack of money grubbing animal abusers.

    • +1

Why would you say that? This Sea World has nothing to do with the ones in USA.

      • +1

Agreed that they are un-affiliated with the USA Seaworld - which is the greater of two evils, I just dislike any place that puts intelligent animals in cages/pools for profit, Dolphins need a much bigger area to live in than they do there, don't even start me on the Polar bear enclosure…I agree that Seaworld here, does a large amount of conservation - which in fairness is to be commended, but they still participate in the purchase and trade of Dolphins and the like, with other "Marine Parks" around the world which also indirectly supports the third rate water parks/aquariums. Anyway my 2c.

Thanks for that, I can see your point now :)
Nothing beats an opinion with a basis.

        • Cheers, thanks for letting me have my soapbox moment.

        • +2

Let me get this straight. Your problem with a seafood buffet is that the company that runs the thing puts animals in pools. Dear god! Are polar bears more intelligent than pigs which are supposedly highly intelligent. I wonder if polar bear taste better than bacon?

        • SeaWorld rescue a lot of dolphins. Some just won't survive being released but that doesn't mean they don't release at all because they do. They purchased one named demon from nsw who would have otherwise been stuck in a swimming pool (which caused all the scars he had) and gave him a much better life.

Seaworld put a lot of profit back to conservation without the theme park they were not getting any of that money so put your money where your mouth is and donate directly to conservation (and dont go to the park) instead of trying to turn people off them.

        • +1

I highly doubt that polar bear would taste better than bacon. Nothing tastes better than bacon.

        • Not sure on the science of Polar bears being more intelligent than pigs or vice versa, my comment merely pointed out that if the buffet was affiliated with SeaWorld then "I" (a clearly personal indication) was not surprised it was terrible, a sentiment clearly backed up by the huge number of negative reviews.

I was then simply asked a question "Why is that?" In which I responded with my answer, which seemed like the polite thing to do - rather than just make a haphazard one liner statement, like some many other people on here, wasn't trying to change lives here, just trying to be honest on my own researched and formed opinion.

At least I fed trolls I guess.

        • I donate money to the WSPA, around $360 a year in the form of a $30 monthly Donation, have done for years.

Pretty sure that gets more conservation money to animals than a season pass to Seaworld does.

        • -2

Yes by 1 season pass but not by all the tickets they sell to people who otherwise donate zero.

        • -1

I hardly think my personal opinion on Seaworlds animal treatment policies will stop the mass populous from visiting the park.

How many times a year do you go there? or donate to a similar cause, probably none?

        • Yeah but you don't get to see Sponge bob.

  • +1

Polar bear would be high in fat?
More than pig, not sure, maybe google can help.

So would seals. I saw some people eating raw seal on tv(maybe native Eskimos)

I would not want to try either though. Seals are cute and I'd feel bad :(
