Looking to buy a Microsoft Surface RT tablet (1st gen)
Noticed they are $394 for the 64gb version with a touch cover at JB - http://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/tablet/microsoft/surface-…
Wondering if anyone has seen them cheaper seeing the newer one is out now.

Yeah they've been around that price for a while now, since the Surface 2 was released anyway (there were a few posts on the front page as well).
64GB w/ Cover is cheaper that the one without (Check the pricing in store). If you want the Surface RT (1) then you might as well get that bundle.
The 8.1 update includes office 2013 RT (which includes outlook).
Not 100% sure if you get the 1 year free skype and 2 years of 200gb skydrive if you buy new. If you do, it's a very good deal.
NB: Office Rt doesn't do macros, add-ins etc. The base functionality is there.
The microsoft store australia has a student discount price, but the JB Hifi seems to be a better deal.
Surface 2 with USB 3.0, Tegra4 and 1080 screen upgrade is almost 2x the price.
Wow, that is insanely cheap, I was ready to pull the trigger at $350 without the touch cover (student pricing) on MS store.
