  • I upgraded from the Pixie U (with milk frother) to the Latissima+. I thought it would create better steamed milk with less cleaning.

    All I can say is - don't.

The Latissima+ is a pain to clean, the way they designed it there's a grooved part where your cup sits that will quickly fill with crappy water every single day and need cleaning. Then you have the trays to clean. Oh, and where the trays spill over to clean. Oh, and the milk dispenser to clean every 2 days (according to them).

Pixie U and milk frother is a fraction of the price and much easier and faster to clean, plus the milk that comes out is velvety instead of the bubbly tasteless crap the Latissima+ makes.

I love Nespresso. I hate this device. It's like an anchor on my kitchen bench.

    • 100% agree with your comments

      I have a Pixie

Couple people I know have the Latissima and i have a coffee from it every 2nd day

      Pixie is tastes much better

    • I found that with the same L+ from Nespresso shop and from other retail store like TGG, Bing Lee, Harvey Norman. The taste is difference and the milk from Nespresso shop (Chatswood) is so good but not the same from others. I don't know why.

    • Will you sell this anchor to me instead of sitting in your kitchen?
      Thanks.

  • My experience has been different to DoctorOwl's. I've had my Latissima+ for over a year and am very happy with it. I find it a lot less of a hassle than the machines with the 'Aerochino' frothed especially making more than one cup. The milk frother attachment has failed though twice and has been replaced by Nespresso without question. I paid about $550 for my machine btw. So there's two quick reviews for you so do some research before you buy.

    • Spot on! I brought this machine just over a year ago as well! It's probably the quickest nespresso machine around… No hassle turn on push and go. I rate it 10/10 for those who are time bound!

  • My wife digs this as she can get up at 6am and have a milk coffee in a minute. I both love and hate it - amazing technology but the capsules are freakin expensive. I bought this off the amazon.it deal a while back - no problems so far apart from needing to descale it every 400 coffees (symptoms are the frother stops working).

  • Got one on the weekend from David Jones.

They had a 20% Store card discount which reduced it to $359.20

The WOW20, WELCOME & TREATME5 discount codes took it down to $324.20

Pity I didn't have an AMEX to whack off another $30 before I claim the $100 cashback.

So $224.20 (or $194.20 if ya have AMEX) is pretty good for this model!

They still have the Store Card Discount, but not the WOW20.
