ThermaPlus Short Sleeve Top v3 Women - Nautic White
Regular price $59.98. Clearance price $14.99. (Note it has a buy one get one free tag on it, but doesn't seem to apply the discount when you add 2. Could take it up with them and potentially kill the towel deal since it claims to be for regular price items only, as does the towel deal). The buy one get one free probably doesn't work because the item is on the outlet part of the site.

Other items that seem like a deal but when compared to their dodgy regular price. (Also I may have missed some so might be a good idea to go through their clearance items if you have the time by checking the 'refine by: clearance' or alternatively going to the outlet site).

  • Thank you so much !

  • I thought it was 3 towels for $6.67 :(

    • +1

I originally had the title at '<towel> $20, buy 1 get 2 free' but I think most people would have overlooked the b1g2f part so I went with this title as the lesser of 2 evils of my crappy title writing :/

  • Thank you.

  • Almost as good as http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/100870
Twice the price for 50% more area but at least you get a better bag thing for going deep sea diving catching crustaceans or something :D

    (Also it's a different fabric).

  • Thanks OP! Do know whether this is online only or is this also in store?

    • Not a clue :D

There are some items on the website that state 'web only'. But I wouldn't really expect to see it in store personally. Either due to stock count, or perhaps an error of combining the 2 offers (clearance and b1g2f) and a human would probably pick up on that.

    • i saw this sale at dfo melbourne :)

  • +2

Are the towels really worth $10 a pop? I couldnt find any reviews…

    • Was about to ask the same one

      • no clue this is what i was searching for !

i got some full size microfibre towels from an outdoor store called Kathmandu. They are similar to Mountain Designs or Paddy Pallin and specialise in ligthweight outdoor wear.

They occasionally have 50% off sales and you can pick up some fairly good technical clothing at excellent pricing. Try them if there's one near your area.

If not then any of hte other stores i mentioned above would be your best bet.

The towels are good value for money and as mentioned previously, work almost as well as normal towels, pack a lot smaller and dry much quicker. I always use them whenever i got trekking, bushwalking or camping.

        regards
        Jeelan"

        • Kathmandu have other towels listed that a specifically labeled microfibre and have a different materials composite listed in the fabric compared to these towels (in the deal).

I bought the microfibre ones in the last deal and thought they were great for the price paid.

          http://www.kathmandu.com.au/microfibre-towel-offer.html
If u want the ones called microfibre ones they're essentially currently 66% off because of the buy 1 get 2 free offer.

The one listed in the post is also under the heading of 'microfibre towel offer' so /shrug.

    • +1

I had one of these towels that I lost before.

      It was fantastic for travelling.

Small, light and dried super fast.

      I've just bought 3.

  • When you check out it shows only one towel. How can we make sure that we get the promo (the 2 extra free towel) ?

    • +1

add 3 to the cart. Discount will automatically apply. Price would be shown as 19.99 thus 19.99/3 = 6.66

      • Thanks.

  • +1

Awesome! Picked up 6 towels - will be great gifts! Thanks OP!

  • Bought 6 here - thanks!

  • Bought 9….thanks OP!

This one is good too, normally cost $40+ for a good floor pump, the "mini pump" you had there is good price too, K-mart has some mini-pumps for cheaper but the quality not as good as yours

    • Not exceptional though. This model (it's a common re-branded one) is often somewhere between $20-30 when on special at Anaconda.

  • can we buy the towels same prices $6.66 each in store ?

    • No, if you buy in store it's full price.

  • this is awesome work/research OP, cheers!!!!

  • Basically 3 towels for $29.99 delivered, no real info on the quality, and I bought a mega bath towel at big W for $9 2.1mtrs x 900mm.
I realy dont see the deal OP but hey,
I bought 6! (for stocking fillers)
    So cheers!

    • +2

      That's the spirit! :)

(It probably isn't a coincidence the number of votes surged after I changed the title to include the regular price and made it more obvious what the price per towel is each).

    • -2

Correction 20 for 3. Seems like the swimming or yoga towel and they're excellent for travelling because they soak a lot of water and dry very quickly.

      • +1

        plus $10 shipping. :)

        • -2

          Not if you order $100+.

          Correction…

        • Correction 20 for 3.

Even if you bought 15 towels, you still need to pay 10, on top of the $99.95..
Only if you order 18 towels using the buy 1 get 2 free deal, you would get the free shipping!

          Correction 20 for 3
          $119.94 for 18

          Correction
        • Haha. I give u an A for effort sherlock.

Don't forget to input inflation, gdp and currency exchange at certain times if purchased overseas. ;)

      • Correction $29.99 for 3 including the $10 shipping

        • I just bought 6 and my receipt I received in my email said $0 postage, so I got 6 for $39.98. Not sure if it was a glitch, but seems like the $100+ free shipping was done on the RRP instead.

        • You got lucky. I bought 6 and had to pay the extra $10 for postage

  • -1

    Kathmandu is high quality

    • +2

Not really anymore. When they opened they were.

Some of their stuff is good, these towels are very good. I have one and would highly recommend them.

But that bike lock? Their packs? Not so good.

  • I had a mountain designs one before. It drys quickly but I found it smelt like washing does if you leave it wet in the machine too long.

Needless to say I got rid of it straight after my trip.

  • XL towels are 150 x 75 that seems huge =| would be good if the large ones were available/clearance

  • I wonder if the towels would be suitable to wipe the car dry with after it's been washed?

  • +4

I like Kathmandu but those Ion watches theyve got advertised $30 reduced to $15 are on ebay for $1 with free shipping http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Digital-Anion-Negative-Ion-Silico…

    • Yeah, those Ion Silicon watches really are available for $1 including delivery.
You can choose colour too. Kathmandu pricing is ridiculous.

"What I really want to do is pay $500 for a sports jacket", said no one ever.
      http://www.kathmandu.com.au/blackburn-jacket-women-dark-navy…
Seriously, even the model in the picture seem unhappy with her purchase…

  • +3

Their RRP is so ridiculous. …

    • It should be around half that. Marketing tactics and it works.

  • up to 5 - 7 days before they will dispatch? insert sadface…

  • How would these be as a gym towel? Probably too big?

  • I bought some of the microfibre towels (in a pouch) last time they were offered cheap and they are not great quality. Not really worth $7.99. Best ones are at car care sites (name brand micro fibre, not the bulk lots). Even got some better ones at Supercheap. Don't know about the Active Towel.

  • lmao WTF!!

"Red active towel XL (AKA used tampon)"

    ….oh its gone

  • +1

Damn you OzB! 18 towels bought to get free shipping. Thanks OP!

  • +1

Thanks OP 3 red actives $29.99. Bought a few microfibres years ago - I think they are great. The RRP IS extraordinary … but that's the way of the world these days :)

But I'm putting my "Mr Prude" hat on & saying I don't approve of your description of the red ones!

    & now I'm supposed to "LOL" I believe :)))

  • If anyone in Canberra bought 6 sets I will take few of your hands

  • Perth CBD store does have the buy one get 2 free but at the full price of $60.

  • Fantastic price…very happy!!!

  • just FYI in store its buy one get 2 free in store but $60 in Melbourne too

  • Getting 404's on those some of those links now…
    Eg.
    - ThermaPlus Short Sleeve Top v3 Women - Nautic White
    - Serico Hooded Jacket Women - Snow White

  • Went to get the towels in store but they had them at 3 for 1 at full price; said the $19.99 offer was online only. They sent me away with a voucher for free delivery! So now 3 towels for $20 with no del. fee!

    Awesome deal. Ta!

    • Can you share the code please?

      • Not sure now, left it at the office but think it was AUSACN. But no point - it didn't work. So I called them and they entered my order over the phone and fixed it up.

    • Hmm it'd just be a generic code yeah? Wink wink, catch my hint? :)

  • This is actually an error on their website (double discount, should only be discounted once)

If you click on the Buy 1 Get 2 Free, a window pops up and displays the following:

    3 for 1 Microfiber TowelsClose
Microfibre Towels buy 1 get 2 FREE! Grab this amazing deal while stocks last.
This offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer, it is based on the Regular Price and does not include Summit Club Pricing. To activate this deal please place three of the promoted items into your cart.

So this is a great deal!!!

    • -1

Did you forget how to human?

"If you click on the Buy 1 Get 2 Free, a window pops up and displays the following:

      3 for 1 Microfiber TowelsClose"

      Buy 1 get 2 free = 3 towels for $20
      3 for 1 towels = 3 towels for $20

      what?

      • Read my comment carefully before posting back!
I was just pointing out that their description says that the deal is only for regular price of $60 and not on the discounted price of $20. However due to some errors, you get to buy 3 towels for $20!
I successfully bought the towels at the discounted price and wanted to share my view about this great deal to the Ozbargain crowd!

      • I think he's either dumb or trolling.

  • Looks like it ain't $20 anymore… :(

  • If anyone wants 3, I bought them online and also went into store to see if they'll honour the online discount (which they did) as I needed to use them ASAP. Can offer it for the same price of $30 (20+10ship)

    • +1

Me!!!!! Please! Missed out and hubby went to store and they told him they couldn't honor it… private message me with details?

  • Bah, wish I had pulled the trigger on this earlier but was waiting to see them in store. Looks like it's ended :(

  • +1

Yeah, I just tried to purchase as well but got a 404 error so the towel deal must be over.

  • I was hoping to get this for $6.66/each at the time the deal first came active , did anybody get them for this price? I just received only Two and was expecting Six lol

  • I received the towel.
    Its not so good :-(

  • Yeah I agree isn't really much of a towel lol Just hoping someone could help me out with my previous comment. I have been emailing Katmandu back and forth. Apparently they aren't aware of anyone purchasing them at $6.66, so won't honour that price and want an order # to prove that it did happen. I think it didn't go through for me as I put one in the cart not three lol

  • What are you talking about. These are excellent for travelling. A lot of people use these towels for backpacking. They are light, soak in a lot of water and dry fast. Don't let the first impression of how crappy the fabric fool you.
