Seems as if it's only available in Richmond so could you reflect that in the title please. Still a decent offer if you can get down there hence the positive vote.

On my screen it says "IKEA Richmond Instore Specials". Having said that I'd rather be wrong as I need at LEAST 2 of these, plus I feel like the food they have there. The Sydney store didn't show that particular special at the time.
As I said above it is only listed on the Richmond specials, but it is also advertised in the catalogue. The catalogue deals occur for two days each month and apply to all stores. I previously purchased a rug and also a dining table and benches from the Sydney store as part of these deals.
The stock checker is showing stock too.

I called IKEA SA and they have these bookcases for … $89.
Here is what I was said.
Eastern states (NSW,VIC,QLD) IKEAs belong "BILLY Group" they have much greater buying power. IKEA SA and WA are franchisings.
It is bad, it is really bad as I would love to buy two of them to fit all my books, disks, boxes, cables, etc.
PS the deal is great - voting positive despite misfortune with a local store.
My bad! I didn't realise IKEA had franchises! (I actually thought IKEA was only in NSW, QLD and VIC). I assumed the catalogue was nationwide but it actually only applies to NSW, QLD and VIC. Looks like WA have their own "2 day" specials as per their catalogue http://ikeaeu.ecweb.is/09/mauw/. Only difference being the items are not as good (IMHO) and the deals go for 6 days!
I commend you for recognising it's a great deal even though it's unfortunate you're unable to benefit. If only there was more of you :)

For those who missed out, you may still be in luck. I remember a previous "two day" special being on offer for at least five days. Also the "two per customer" had been crossed out in pen this afternoon. I imagine that means they are trying to clear them.
I was at Ikea Rhodes today and they still have them at $39. So people are in luck.
