Sensational deal. I searched at least half a dozen hotel websites, and for the place I wanted in Sdney for the dates I wanted they were all identical…the 25% sure made a big difference, saved almost $600. Thanks OP

  • Am I right in assuming all hotel prices are in USD, and therefore you need to use a card like 28 Degrees to avoid additional fees?
As for Cheaptickets, I booked some very cheap US flights (with Virgin) through them, very easy, highly recommend!

My sale was in AUD with AUD prices displayed…I aolso see they have some cheap airline deals aswell.

How do I confirm that the final price in AUD and not USD. Awesome deal, nonetheless.

        Thanks.

        • The final price is an approximate conversion based on current exchange rates-

"Prices reflect the average "base rate" per night, excluding taxes and fees. Rates are subject to change and may not include hotel service charges, extra person charges, or incidentals, such as room service. Converted rates are provided for your convenience. They are based on today's exchange rate, but the hotel will charge you in the local currency. taxes may be payable in addition"

        • Apparently that's not the case- just called the call centre. Prices are in USD unless otherwise specified eg. AU $100.

  • it it only valid for australia? Tried mal dives and doesnot work.

    • Only selected hotels - I've checked a few US and SE Asia and 85% are applicable

      • Tried a few in Tokyo. No success.

    • I just had a quick glance at that..the overwhelming majority of complaints seem to be for airfares book not accom. Still ive taken the risk for the great savings. Sometimes Im also weary of reviews as most customers just don't read the fine print and when something doesn't go their way they just have a sook.

Hmmm seems damning, BUT, not sure how much you can read into it? As I said, I booked my flights through them, within minutes got all my booking numbers which I checked with the airlines and they are all confirmed.
I've often thought that information found on reveiew sites can be falsified by opposition companies. Never looked into it enough to prove it, but just a hunch.

    • Whoa, nightmare reviews.

Not worth risking losing hundreds or thousands of dollars…

Cheaptickets is owned by Orbitz, which own many other sites worldwide (including Ratestogo and their frequent discounts).

I've used Ratestogo before with no issues, and used Orbitz for airfares. I think you would find bad reviews for most online travel agents - just google Expedia complaints!

That said, annoyingly this code wouldn't work for me with Phuket hotels. ebookers.com is giving 20% off.

  • Do you need a promo code to get 20% off? has anyone booked through ebookers.com site before?

  • I can't see any deal for Singapore for 16th Decemeber, Am i missing something?

  • i dont think this offer includes Singapore. no hotels showed up with the discount for me either. but you can get 15% off with the ratestogo offer.

  • Seems like the offer didn't include Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok :(

  • Just cancelled my old booking I had with them during the 20% off and booked again with the 25% off and saved an extra $50.
