"Brand New Australian Stock. The packaging was damaged but the hard drive has never been used. Colours will be selected randomly."
I assume that the 3 Years Warranty is still valid on these?

How do the Western Digital fare against the Toshiba 2TB USB3 ones (from Amazon)?

    Thanks.

If the HDDs have never been used, you don't know if it's damaged or not. For all we know, they might be, and they are untested.

If they're physically damaged, I don't think they will honor it. But otherwise, yes it should still be valid.

I don't think it's that good a deal for products with the packaging damaged (and possibly their contents). I've seen similar deals for non damaged stock.

I completely agree with you on this.

  • Warranty is still valid as it is only small rips and tears on the exterior packing

  • Have bought one, will report back if issues!
Just hoping i dont randomly get a red one.

  • Part of their their return policy:

2.All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee based on the current selling price or sale price on invoice, which ever is lower.

I don't think this is legal if the product is faulty. You may take them to ACCC on this.

    • Lol, when I return something from office works, they usually give me a change over one the spot, plus pay me the difference in the product (ie how much its gone down)

  • This only reflects returns that are not claimed for warranty or faulty product.
