They're awesome ear buds, I bought a few of these at $50 as they aren't terribly durable, last around 2 years before developing some kind of defect. (Warranty is 1YR.)

I'm using Yuin PK2's now which have a somewhat improved sound, but I'd recommend the PK3's over ANYTHING for less than $100 unless you're after in-ears (which these are obviously not).

Most ear buds are hopeless (especially the Apple variety) but these are superb.

I despise sites that require you to sign up just to see the item…

    • They also have the background picture set to stretch to the display size and it's a pixelated mess on a 27" 2560x1440 monitor.

who browses full screen on such high res..

        • It's noticeable in the usual 1/3rd width window size and I was pointing out the dev flaw of not having scaling boundaries set.

By the looks of their shipping system, the chances of receiving these before christmas is slim to none.

I also captured the page if anyone wants to have a look without making an account

  • Available for $34.59 from this guy on eBay, bought some from him for that price almost 2 years ago:

Seems to always have them available. I personally didn't like them much - sound great but don't sit comfortably for me. He also has the PK2s for around $56 delivered.

That looks like a $2 pair of earbuds from reject shop, sorry!!!

Looks does not equate to sound when it comes to headphones!

I'd recommend keeping an eye on this site because they had a sale on great Sennheiser ear buds just yesterday. I got a pair of MX980s from them a month or two ago for $69, and they are about as good as PK1s. http://www.oo.com.au/Headphones-Headsets_C348.cfm?sort=Disco…

I had a pair of PK2s and the sound was good, but unfortunately I wasn't too impressed with the build quality (the cables particularly are known for breaking easily).

      • you're right, they dont. But I expect the look and feel of a product reflects its cost. If you pay $100 for a earbuds, you'd expect them to look $100 worth.
I'm just saying that looks like a $2 earbuds. I'm sure it'll sound good if all the reviews say so.

        • Yeah I see your point. The Sennheiser phones on the deal I mentioned above look far flashier with metal frames and whatnot.

  • Beware Massdrop has shipping times of a month or more so don't expect to receive these before Xmas.

    • If you want them for <$35 then it's either here or eBay, both will take around the same time.

  • I honestly can't see the point in this Massdrop deal when you can get them for $49 shipped with Australian warranty and shipping, but these guys are out of stock :/
