DSE 8-Plug Surge Interceptor $54.98 BOGOF

60

The deal from last month is back

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121079

I stumbled across this deal last night at DSE George St and found it online today. This is the 8-plug Surge Interceptor not the 6-plug that was on sale recently. I have been waiting for these to go on sale for awhile so I grabbed a set. I have been using one for many years to protect my computer now I have some more. Not as cheap as the lowest price in the past though.

Available in store and online (+shipping)

Is that a bargain? Consider the belkin 8 ports one you can get at around 75 bucks when on sale.

$75 for 1 vs $55 for 2… Yeah, pretty sure this one wins.

Lol, sorry miss out 2 packs part, ok will get 2, thanks.

    • no deal! shopping express going to sell belkin $75 for 2, it's better than this.

those Belkin recessed ports are terrible - can't fit adaptors. These 8 port hubs have 2 ports for extra chunky adaptors.

  • i just put coarse and medium surge diverters in my switchboard. problem solved for the whole house. best money that i ever spent.

    • I've been thinking about doing that. What was the cost?

      • The other thing to take into account - I know that the Belkin's have a warranty for any damaged equipment. Not sure if a switchboard mounted option would have that..

  • Not a bad deal. thanks.

  • While the page says BOGOF, I didn't see it indicated when I did Checkout or in order confirmation. Is it normally like this?

  • I made a order and call the store, they refuse to sell 2 for that price, as the website still calculated as 54.98 each, what is going on?

    • I had to get a second opinion when bought mine. But in store (at the George St Sydney) it was all clearly labelled BOGOF so the 2nd opinion sided with me and sold them to me. It does seem like their sales staff don't want to honour their own promotions at times….but we here at ozBargain are "Professionals" (Thanks Gerry) so we shouldn't let that get in the way.

  • Is it just me or the shopping Cart is shit? keep saying that it's empty…

DSE's web programmer is shitty, you got to use IE.
But I suggest you get this one $75 for 2:

      • plus $9.75 delivery is a deal killer, I think. I can click and collect on DSE. Good find, though..

        • you gotta kidding me, it is one of the best for under $100 mark, and this is 2nd gen, first gen selling $99 everywhere.

        • Now you got me thinking…. Yes, maybe… They have better shopping cart I'm sure. DSE using IE also hopeless… It just does not allow me to buy. Oh well, whatever, nevermind.

Thanks for the info, mate. I'll get on to it.

        • nvm, that belkin will sold out very soon anyway.

I got the same problem with DSE shopping cart last time when I buying the gift card, then tried IE it works. I never use IE probably that's the reason, so if you clear the IE cache and cookie should works.

      • Damn, looks like I missed out on that Belkin deal.

The DS site isn't giving me the option for Click and Collect any more..

  • So ordered this the other day, and it got delivered today. Opened it up expecting it to be 2 in there but there's only 1. Thought maybe you had to add 2 to the cart to get the other one free but it charges you for it?

Wrote another email to DS wondering what the hell is going on, as it's clearly advertised as being 'Buy One Get One Free' on the ad. Very dodgy indeed actually, no wonder why DS went down the sh**er!

Not happy. If a company is going to advertise a special, at least honour it.
