    what about the MI3?

Sorry mate the WCDMA version for MI3 is not released yet. You can get a TDS-CDMA version for now but you can only get GSM+EDGE (not 3G) in Australia. Please let me know if you're still interested.

      • hmm

        Nubia Z5S LTE?

  • Is this good for Optus?

    • WCDMA 900/2100Mhz

So yes. But not as good on Telstra / Vodafone.

    • Hi @koozilla, thanks for your question. I've done a bit of research and found this:

      http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/mobile_phone_frequencies

      Australian 3G bands:

      850MHz (Telstra, Vodafone) – Exclusive 3G band
900MHz (Optus, Vodafone) – available in most metro areas on Optus, with both Optus and Vodafone re-farming the 2G 900 spectrum in regional and rural areas
2100MHz (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone) – Exclusive 3G band

So it best works with Optus and Vodafone if the information above is accurate, as the phone supports both 900MHz and 2100MHz frequencies. For Telstra network it can still use the 2100MHz frequency when available.

    aliexpress from $191.00 including shipping

    • Hi @gerardo66, thanks for pointing out the phone's listing on Aliexpress. The price $191 was in US dollars, so works out about A$210 including post via China Post Airmail. Our shipping is through Singapore EMS which is why it is more expensive.

To the best of my knowledge shipping parcels with batteries is prohibited with China Post Airmail or Chinese EMS so I don't know why the seller would want to do that . Your parcel may end up getting returned to the seller:
      http://seller.aliexpress.com/notices/article-1711.html

We use Singapore EMS for this exact reason. For all orders we handle we will only use reliable courier services.

  • What is the shipping time? If its 2 weeks, i wanna order one before i go on holiday…

    • Thanks @cniminc, we ship via Singapore EMS and that is usually about a week. Shipping in China may take another 2 days or so but 2 weeks is more than enough. :D

  • so 799 yuan = $240 AUD??
    the shipping must be expensive.

    sorry, have to neg.

    • Sorry mate there might be a misunderstanding here. This is the WCDMA version, and the price is more expensive than the cheaper TDS-CDMA alternative. The TDS-CDMA version can only connect to GSM/EDGE in Australia, so not at 3G speed if you use mobile data.

Our price is always the same as the price listed on taobao. In this case, the price for the WCDMA version of this phone is around 1050 CNY, which is about A$205. We bargain for all our customers, and provide the original taobao transactions for added assurance.

Shipping is around $35 for this phone as the parcel will be around 1kg, and needs to be shipped by Singapore EMS as it contains batteries. Our shipping rate is very competitive even if you compare with Chinese taobao agents.

I am really sorry for the confusions here.

  • Too expensive…

The Red Rice's official price is approx. 120AUD, no way that shipping can cost 85AUD. ChinaBuy is making much profits in this.

    • Thanks @Haedem, thanks a lot for your interest and comments. We're just a purchasing agent and we do not have special arrangements for any specific product. The A$120 phone you've mentioned might be the TDS-CDMA version which will not work with Australian 3G network. What we post here is the WCDMA version and that's why it is more expensive.

All our prices for the items and domestic shipping in China are converted from Taobao's public listing price.

Our shipping rates are based on your parcel's actual or cubic weight, whichever is greater. All shipping costs are publicly available at http://www.chinabuy.com.au/shipping-costs and for 1kg parcel with battery it would be below A$40.

I hope this clarifies the costs for you. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask here or shoot us an email. :-)
