And warranty? There is a lot of crap Stone Cookware on the market that is next to useless after a couple of weeks of use.

Agreed, severe lack of important details. Along with no warranty info, there's no mention of what types of cooktop they work on (induction?), no mention of the coating being free of the nasties they're rabbiting on about all the time in the infomercials (PFOA, PTFE), are they oven safe …

      • •Heat-resistant aluminium exteriors

        Won't work on induction cooktop.

        • They can still have a ferrous / copper plate in the base, the pans I have now are all ally exteriors but work fine on induction. Have a look at the old deal linked below or the pans that Kogan sell, both aluminium but induction friendly.

Having said that, there's still absolutely no certainty that these particular ones would be. I emailed them mentioning the lack of details, hopefully someone takes notice, finds out and updates their listing.

  • This came just in time for me. My non-stick frypan is wearing down and I'm worried it's leaching harmful stuff into my food. I've been looking to move over to stone pans for ages. Does anyone have any experiences/opinions on this set? Or recommends another? Cheers

    • The Stonedine ( aka Flavorstone) ones are pretty good. Have had a set for a few years now and they're lasting well. No peeling, scratches or stuff sticking. Just don't try and take to high temp for wok (stir fry) cooking. Like any kind of coated cookware, it will shorten their life and wreck the surface quicker.

The ones in this deal, and previous deal look like sets I can get at kitchenware stalls and pop-up shops at my local shopping centre for very similar prices… a bad knock-off (coating looks thin) of the original Stonedine.

Have some middle of the range Anolon pans for similar amount of times and I luuuuve those.

  • looks like worst than previous $49 deal

    • that was a 3 piece set, this is a 4 piece set.

  • whats the difference between ceramic coated and this "marble" stone?
Is marble stone just a marketing term?

Watch out! I bought this set via E-Sold. Very disappoint with the quality! The coating was like a bad painting job with paint drops remained, which could be scrapped out with fingernails (and reveal the core material)!

    • the white splatters? I was in a danoz shop and could scrape the white splatter marks off with my nails on the stonedine ones too

I can Highly recommend Debuyer Carbone Plus pans, I have used a number of Non stick pans over the years and nothing seems to last, the Debuyer pans will become non stick once seasoned and with constant usage, they can take High heat and wont warp can also be used in the oven (No Plastic handles) not that expensive for something that should last a life time with simple care. I know I'm Slightly of the Topic of the stoneware, just a little info for anyone looking in to pans.

    • Thanks for this info. You've got me interested in carbon steel pans.
