Electric Salt & Pepper Mills
Seasoning at the Touch of a Button
Perfect for the chef or show off, Breville's Electronic Salt and Pepper Mills grind salt and pepper with the simple touch of a button. The one-handed operation means you can stir with one hand and season with the other and the adjustable grind control allows you to select your desired coarseness. A mini light illuminates on the bottom of the mill, handy for evening barbecues. The stainless steel design is both durable and easy to clean.

Great find, needed to get a pair as part of a wedding registry gift. Bargain.

Let's hope all the other guests browsing that registry are not OzBargainers else the Bride and Groom will be 'grinding' their teeth over all the breville salt n pepper mills they're getting.

  • Excellent!

    • They must be using it the wrong way!

We had some similar and the pepper one broke, we ended up just going back to normal grinders.
There is much more control doing it manually too.

I can't see where having to change/charge batteries for the convenience of grinding salt and pepper using the press of a button is really better than using the low maintenance twist ones. Although my mother has arthrititls and may have a use for them, any able bodied person doesn't really have an excuse do they?

        • I won't go down the 'are we too lazy to grind our own salt and pepper road' but with these you can't adjust the grind size. Would this be so great for the 'chef'???

Plus 8 x AA's between them, more landfill blah blah, nah

These were $9 for the pair in Joyce Mayne at Rutherford in I think January or February. I suppose I should have posted it - they must have had over 200 pairs. They take a lot of batteries and they are fragile.

Owned some electric ones in the past and there was something hugely visceral missing from the usual grinding experience. It worked great but it just felt wrong in a bad way.

Went back to a pine + metal manual one within a week.

My parents have some of these, and they chew through batteries. Also keep in mind they will often dispense salt and pepper faster than what you would grind it yourself, so season with caution.

    • Yeh I'm pretty sure ours took 4 AA's in each.

We've had several of these - they tend to break so easily…

I work at Bing Lee the price is $19 in our system at the moment. Unsure whether how long this deal is on for.
It is not in our website for some reason so best to call a store to check availability if interested.
