Nintendo 3DS XL Bundle with 2 Games ($249) at Target

110

I know this has already been posted but I walked in to buy red dead redemption for the PS3 for $20.

I asked the guy at the register and he said they had sold out of the two games (Pokémon rumble and dragon quest IX) so he said I could get the deal with a 3DS game and DS game if said 3DS and DS game were less than $59.99 and $39.99 respectively.

This was at Brookvale Westfield and he said he wasn't sure if other stores were doing it if they had sold out of the 2 games.

In the end I got a silver 3DS XL (Only colour in stock) and Zelda a link between worlds and brain training all for $249.

If it would be best if I posted this into the already made deal let me know and I'll delete this bargain.

Burwood(NSW) Westfield had Rumble in stock still so i ended up getting Luigi's Mansion as a replacement for Dragonquest.

very good deal considering that Super Mario 3D Land is a free promo right now.

much much better deal when compared to EBgames 'sale'

Sweet. This is top of my kids Xmas list. Here's hoping my store has no stock of the included games.

    • Good luck.

  • At Warringah Mall? Any idea how many they have left in stock?

      Yep Warringah Mall.
They had 11 Silver 3DS XLs when I bought mine or at least that is what I think the guy said, cannot be 100% sure on that. So now they would have 10 since I took one of those 11.

      • Cheers, might try my luck. If things work out, I could get my sister Pokemon Y and an upgrade to her old DS Lite all in one package :)

        • Sorry to say but they didn't have any stock of pokemon x or y when I went in today.

          Bummer. There's always Zelda :)

        • Just came back from Warringah Mall, and with a stroke of luck, got that Pokemon Y instead of Rumble. A lady came in to return her purchase (with seal intact) just as I hit the counter. Apparently her kid got given a copy of it already. And got a Professor Layton game instead of Dragon Quest IX.

          Cheers OP

        • Congrats that is a great deal.

  • We were at Target Northland today and they had run out of Pokémon Rumble. The guy said we could choose a game worth $25 or less to replace it. They had Art Academy (DS) to replace the Dragon Quest game (also regular DS not 3DS) which they were just about to run out of. Needless to say we walked straight back out again.

    • $25 or less is nowhere near an equivalavent in price to pokemon rumble.
Do you want me to send you my receipt as some proof?

      • That's what I thought at the time but no one was budging - so a receipt would be great.

I spoke on the phone to someone at Target Greensborough and he said the best they would do is $29 and $35. Then he said they didn't even think they had any consoles left. I honestly don't think they had a clue what was going on.

        • Sent.

        • Thanks!

        • Hey Mate,

Was wondering if you could please send me a copy of your receipt that you got from Target with the 3DS XL + 2 games - my local Target will honour this if you can provide me with yours, thanks

    • Dragon Quest is worth $39, according to their website.

      • Any idea what Pokémon Rumble is supposed to be worth?

  • I see they have the exact same bundle in this weeks catalogue.

    • Maybe they are getting more stock of the 2 games in the deal?

I'm going to call in to Target this afternoon. Might get more answers from the regular staff - the guy yesterday didn't have a clue.

  • Apparently because the bundle is in the next catalogue they are getting the games in again this week. So anyone that gets the better games is lucky.

Went to buy this bundle before at my local Target store but since they didn't have the Pokemon Rumble Blast for 3DS game in stock, the lady at the counter offered any other Nintendo DS or 3DS game as a substitute. Lo and behold, I saw a few copies of Pokemon Soul Silver for the DS which were marked as 'clearance' items in one of the cabinets. Whilst I missed out on snagging a copy of this title at the recent disastrous Good Guys $10 gaming clearance sale, I was fortunate to grab it this time around. White 3DS XL + Dragon Quest IX + Pokemon Soul Silver for $249…today was a good day.

    • Damn I wish they had soul silver or heart gold at my local target, I also missed out on it at the Good Guys clearance sale. Congrats on the find.

    • Congrats! Looks like I am out of luck. They wouldn't budge at my local Target - getting more stock in this week.

      • I am out of luck too I tried to go into the Target at Forest Hill (Vic) and they actually had stock >.>…needless to say I didn't buy it and will probably wait for boxing day to arrive

Got lucky and managed to pick up the bundle with 2 different games. Yay!

  • Can anybody please send a receipt showing the Nintendo 3DS XL + 2 different games that are advertised? Preferably Pokemon X/y and Zelda? One or the other will suffice, thanks in advance

    • Sorry I already had those games so ended up getting Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros and Scribblenauts Unmasked.

      • Can I get a receipt to show that other Target stores appear to be allowing swaps please?

Went into target a few days ago to claim this offer, they had run out of dragon quest games so the member of staff there said I could claim a game for $40 or less. I asked him if I could nab pokemon y ad pay for the deficit to which he let me have both pokemon rumble and pokemon y for $249. Was super happy with that deal and with the super Mario 3D land offer going round I believe I really scored out on this one!

  • Went to the Forest Hill (VIC) Target again just to see if they have stock again. They did not have stock on the games and so I asked if they could do anything about giving me the deal with alternative games. After speaking to the manager their sales assistant said they couldn't do anything for me the deal was only for those games only and not for anything else :(. When I mentioned that I had heard on forums how the other targets dealt with the issue he just told me there is nothing he can do….sad :(
Anyone have a receipt to share so I can try another target?

  • How does this compare to say a deal involve the two professor layton games (Miracle mask and Azran Legacy) for $268.
