  • Damn "RXV775" thought it was a bike at first than saw the second half of the title

RX-V775 is $929 on the website.

    • +1

Add it to your chart. It'll recalculate the price

  • Nice price, how do these compare to the Aventage series, if anyone knows?

    • +1

Not much difference in these models, its when you get to the 1030, 2030 and 3030 you see the difference. In saying that, all Aventage comes with a 4yr warranty(First 12 months replacement), anti-resonance wedge and free wireless adapter. But the RX-A830 is $1599RRP, almost double this price

      • The 1030, 2030 and 3030 are basically aventages minus the "Fifth leg" and the the warranties.

    • If you don't need 11.2 or 3 zones for multi room set ups, then this should suffice. DACs on these should perform similarly, just get a power amp and you'll probably do better than the aventage.

      • Thanks for the quick replies guys. I'm replacing an old Yamaha 5.1 system that doesn't even have HDMI, so anything specs wise is going to be an upgrade! I don't require 9.2 or 11.2 system, 7.2 would be fine as I've just received a second sub and rear surround speakers, hence the search for a new receiver.

I have looked at the A830 and A730 previously and can get them for a good price, but the 775 at this price beats it by about $150, so I might have to go for it.

Specs wise they all 3 are very similar, I like the 2 HDMI out on the 775 for a projector system in the near future.

        Cheers.

  • Indeed a good price. Australian retailers normally aren't competitive against importing from Amazon.it or de but Rio has some very good Yamaha prices, and in this case is cheaper than Amazon.it ($855 delivered).
I have the RX-V773 and it's a fantastic receiver, and basically identical to the RX-A820 (Aventage). I believe the same is true for the RX-V775 and RX-A830, apart from some very minor differences.

I also think their price on the YHT-399 is quite good for anyone looking at starting out. $584 delivered Australia-wide. https://www.rio.com.au/product/2/43/756/yamaha-yht399au

    • The YHT-398 (previous model) regularly goes on sale for $350 or less which is a better deal in my opinion. Finding stock on the other hand…
