      who said it was?

      • -1

The fact you were asking (screaming) for likes probably has something to do with it. There's no such thing here.

      • +3

The request for likes implied it was. Anyways, welcome and keep the caps on the low. Mods made your post look pretty good now.

  • +2

    MY FIRST POST PLZ LIKE!!!

I was about to +ve this deal until I read that…

    • +3

      And the caps too.

      THX TBH

    • +1

In all fairness, he's not asking you to upvote the deal, just to like it. Still, don't like comments in caps.

      • +1

More likely doesn't understand the difference between an upvote and a like, I think it's probably that they are (were) begging for votes.

        • -1

    • +2

Come on people I'm new; why be so tough?

      Fixed that for you.

  • +9

gee we're being so bitchy to this newbie! Isn't that the definition of a clique, being by definition unwelcoming to the newcomer?

    Thanks for your post!

    • True, but most newbies don't arrive screaming PLZ LIKE!!! etc.

    • +1

      Thanks for your support!!!

    • +2

      I do agree.

Just a few pointers in a nice manner is enough.

I would hate to know you foobar, sounds like you really can't let something go without sounding like a complete dick.

        • -1

          Thanks, I do my best.

        • I sense, poor linking skills.

        • -2

          I sense, poor linking skills.

I only wanted the full stop linked, if that's what you're on about. It'd be highly unlikely for that to be unintentional.

        • +2

anyone who has the commodore 64 logo next to their name deserves some pity!
          Love your work, foobar

        • -1

Fairly certain that logo appeared on a lot more than just the C64! I'm impressed when someone recognises it.

        • expletives

Some of the offers look decent…+ from me

If you are new. You should go here , here and here
Make sure to read them all. That should help you stop being a noob.
    Also

    Starting Etiquette

    • New users shouldn't write I'm new, don't flame me etc.

For first time posters, it's best to avoid telling the community that you are new and asking them to take it easy on you.

People dont just flame him, at least tell him what he is doing wrong and how he can fix it so he wont do it again next time.

  • +1

well these guys must have thick skin to keep advertising on here.

    • +4

It wasn't posted by Lenovo themself.

    • Mhmm.

  • +2

Neil must be spewing he didn't get to post this Lenovo deal first :)

    • +2

I thought it was normally Scotty. Anyways, maybe they stopped cus it's not much of a deal nowadays.

  • +2

People you're just too harsh on the OP here……

  • -1

as you are a noon you may no of see this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116348

    • +1

As an example of both poor behaviour of OzBargainers and poor behaviour of Lenovo?

I hate those "obvious pricing error" threads. It goes: someone discovers pricing error -> a whole bunch of people buy knowing there's a pricing error but trying to screw the company out of at least something -> company trying to clean up the consequences of the error and failing miserably -> 10-20 pages of people bitching about the whole experience.

      • +1

you skipped the "people contact lenovo support staff who confirm price is genuine" step.

  • +2

I am not been harsh of OP, I am been harsh to Lenovo. They screwed me hard last time. Will never give them another chance.

    • looks like Stockholm Syndrome won't apply to you!

  • Sooo…. getting back to THE DEAL… anyone know if any of them are stackable? Best options for upgrades etc?

  • I think they have similar deals all the time though, like if you browse around on their website, just before adding to cart, there's always mentioning of what coupon you can use, and it shows "up to" how much can be taken off.

  • never trusting them again ~ ~ prob take ur money then say we cant do it then refund it to u 2 weeks later ~~"

Maybe someone can start a poll about this topic?

Have another option to tick if they like the company or not~ Like Nice job to the op finding the deal but if I saw it I would like to neg it because I think their company is shit now~ but wouldn't neg right now coz that meant negging the poster >.>

  • Can't wait for the day when OzBargain decide to use user titles like Whirlpool.

I'm new here, please be nice.

    ;)

    • It basically already does - there's a yellow L next to his name at the top indicating it's his first post, but in general people posting for the first time won't realise that and will ask to be treated nicely anyway.

      • We should have an input filter for first time posters.

        • Something that might work would be to not publish 1st time posters deals until they have been given the once over by a mod to make sure it's all in order and isn't spam / socking etc. There's obvious downsides to this as well (increased workload on mods) but it could also dramatically reduce the amount of incoming junk as well.

        • Not economical if a deal is time sensitive, I prefer to filter these things myself …… but then I don't feel the need to repeatedly attack a person over perceived slights in forum etiquette.

But with a logo which says you've been around long enough to see the rise of FASA (and a place holder name to match), how could any like minded persons disagree :)

        • -1

I think the "New Deals" as opposed to front page deals is already intended to be a filter for crap. If you don't want the 'crap', then only look at front page deals.

        • If people dont go on New Deals page and up vote good deal, then there would be no deal in the front page at all.

  • ozbargain is more user friendly in my opinion ~and targets deals more easily

  • Still pretty crappy deals though. WAS $800 4 years ago, NOW $500, instant saving of $300!!! Not really

  • Tried getting the E431 code to work to no avail.

  • any discount on the E531?
